PS3 4.66 DARKNET (Cobra Edition) v1.01 - Deank improved Stage2.bin added

Following the release of deank's improved stage2.bin for Cobra 7, darkjiros has released v1.01 of his 4.66 Cobra CFW to adopt these improved changes. This release will improve the game compatibility of several games that have gave the CFW problems such as Dishonored , Various Splinter Cell Ttitles and possiable various others. Now with these games hopefully some of these few games that gave Cobra problems has been resolved. View all the details of this CFW release [break]//[/break] below

Toggle COBRA Mode (Webman)

PS2 ISO compatibility

  • BC/Semi BC consoles are supported, but it has a little glitch bug where you cannot see anything when pressing PS Button, however you can still quit games still, just use D-PAD to select the quit game then exits to xmb. And Wireless connectivity is also supported. Since BC/Semi BC console use the same ps2 emu for both ISO/PS2Classic
  • You can use save files for both mode, but Non-BC console will have to use different save files per mode. [When using Original PS2EMU]

I tested three games with firmware before moving on:

Far Cry 4 - FAIL - disk read error a few seconds into the initial loading screen
Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor - PASS
Red Dead Redemption GOTY - FAIL - fails a 9% when checking game data

Downgrade to 1.00 gets them working again.

edit1:
This is on a CECHG01, loading split isos from an external drive formatted to FAT32. Tried loading with webMAN MOD Lite v1.34.01, multiMAN v04.66.06, and IRISMAN v3.33.

edit2:
I also tried coping Dean's stage2 over manually while in 1.00, and it has the same behaviour as 1.01.

DARKNET 4.66 CEX V1.01 [COBRA EDITION] Test

- FARCRY4 (Game BD corruption error):
1. Delete the Game installation data
2. Re-install the game
3. Working~

I tested with ISO (Webman Mod 1.34.01)


※ If a problem occurs during installation game
After deleting the game data, you can reinstall it.

How to Update Webman Mod
1. Create a text file boot_plugins.txt and upload it to your PS3 in /dev_hdd0
- dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt (boot_plugins.txt -> Text Writing /dev_hdd0/webftp_server.sprx)

2. Webman Mod 1.34.xx Install & Run (Not automatically reboots)

3. PS3 Reboot
