yea that's the one, it asks for a disc until I run PRX + MAMBA LOADER released by [MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION] then everything is fine

IF your pkg is valid, it will run.
mamba patches out so many checks
ferrox has too many lv2 patches.

bad ctrl flags etc makes the pkg work on cobra and not on normal cfw
i would say bad resigning

[MENTION=20]habib[/MENTION] you have made mistakes with firmwares as well, As well as [MENTION=56]Alexander[/MENTION] has. As well as Rogero. As well as many other CFW developers. There is not many CFW that have been 100% flawless. Mistakes and errors will always be made, it how you learn from the mistakes. No need to tear each other down, it does no good for anyone.

i make my own private hombrews too
use 0x40 ctrl flags and see the magic

Hey. I'm a noob to the scene as in I just download stuff and update my system with what I DLed. I know I don't have much say in things as I don't know or understand much of the technical jargon here - But, can't we all just get along? There's already so much hatred in the world today.... There's no need to put it into the PS3 Scene. We're all people, we're all gamers.

Most of them, so you see your not 100% perfect either (no one is). I know what you have done and you make new features and advancements in firmware, which is great to see.

But i know there was a time when you did not know as much as you do now... this is just advice you can choose to take it or ignore it, but i would of spent more time on your own release notes then to provide release notes that has less characters then a MD5 checksum , while then putting a bash of someone else's work. This thread should be about your work and its turned into my d1ck is bigger then yours pissing match.. Which is ugly to see.

No more bashing in this thread. I think everyone has made their points, let keep the conversation on topic. As this pissing match does no good.

I'm sorry for the noob question here but I want to make sure can I go from my Rebug 4.65 firmware to this 4.70 using the 4.70.PUP?

What I am basically asking is will there ever be a problem transferring straight from one CEX CFW to another of same/different versions at will or do I have to do downgrade each time to swap CFWs?

You can update from REBUG 4.65 to HABIB 4.70. no downgrade needed as its a HIGHER CFW version..

Just be sure to you do NOT have a DISC in the tray ....


	Remove any Physical Game Disc from the PlayStation 3 Disc Drive (Otherwise the PUP (OFW) from the PS3 Disc will be installed and you will lose your jailbreak.
	Unmount actual game.This really important for example, cobra systems with webMAN, because webMAN mounts last played game on boot. If an Update folder exist in that game. It will install the official firmware
	ALWAYS verify the PUP's MD5 to be sure the file is not corrupted and in it's original state (There are some fakes out there that are OFW, so never trust a title and get the MD5 from trust sources like PSX-Place.com
	DISABLE any CFW Spoofs, before update
	[*=left]Turn off internet connections when updating CFW's.( Wifi and Ethernet cable.)
	If you do not own a HARDWARE FLASHER or have the means to recover from a possible brick. DO NOT RUSH to install a CFW / MFW Release. Allow the community to conduct test as some CFW do not get proper testing and even ones that do some models can act differently so its best to give it at least a 3 day wait. Usually brick reports happen the first 24-48 Hours.
	It's good practice to QA Flag your console. before installing a new CFW.
	Always a good idea to dump your eid_root_key (see link for additional information)
	Can be useful to take 1 or 2 dumpsof youflashafter a successful upgrade.These dumps are useful (with a hardware flasher) when Downgrading a console from an accidental OFW update and also when recovering from a Bricked console
	Backup your Game Savesand edat/rif files to a pendrive, external HDD or FTP to PC.
