Awesome news, thank you!

I may be missing something, but is there any way to get gameDATA 10.00 (install pkg's to external HDD) to function properly with Rebug 4.70? It runs fine, but after loading, it never actually switches to USB mode.

Thanks again for all the work evilsperm, cyberskunk, Joonie, Habib and Abkarino!

The latest gameDATA I believe won't support 4.70 CFW, however you can still use it via webMAN.

Integrated webMAN has bare minimum functions, gamedata is not supported, please use latest webman updater

Yeah running webmanmod 1.41.40 on rex 4.70.1 here with no problems.
Updater correctly updates rebugs version of webman in flash. :)

I much prefer rebugs layout xmb wise though!

edit: Takes a looong time to mount a disc now though... ~10 seconds of staring at a white screen.

oh, my god. lmao! I didn't even know my friend, Correll, had a youtube channel. I just realized that that's my icontex in the video. I ported demonhades to 4.xx and added a cobra to the users' tier. that's a wtf for me but funny.

Yea Correll is a good guy, I like his videos.

Yea Correll is a good guy, I like his videos.

I had actually never heard his voice before taking a look at those videos. though, I had sent him several voice messages of m own. he's definitely a good guy. it really upset me to see so many people attacking him for uploading fixes on another site, 'cause many assumed he stole those fixes. well, if sceners actually knew what they were talking about, u can tell for sure if something has stolen "fixes" based on a watermark which u can view with a hex editor. plus, anyone can create a fix, so it's not rocket science. I guess a lot of people r either stupid or lazy to figure such things out. everything is available including how to create cfw, so it's not like anything is hidden.

btw, extract a "fix" and look in the edat. if u see 'TimeToDrinkVodka,' it's a Joe fix. if u fix with trueancestor or the like, a different watermark will appear. Joe is using someone else's edat tools. there's a way to change the watermark, but it's somewhat complicated. I only say this because of what I've heard Joe say about other people in the ps3 scene makes me sick to my stomach.

Can you provide more details? Like: path and name of the game. Each game format (ps1, ps2/ps2classic, ps3, psp) is mounted in a different way depending the location of the file(s) (internal/usb, ntfs, net) and format (iso or jb folder).

Also try disabling the auto-fix game. It shouldn't happen on 4.70 due currently there are not games that require a higher FW version, but if the detection fails webMAN could start to scan. If the game has thousands of files, the fix may take a long time before the game gets mounted. But this should be a one time process.

All my games are in ISO format on the internal HDD.
Only game I really play lately is Gran Turismo 6, I'll experiment some more when I can get near the TV again lol.

edit: Ok, managed to get near the TV for a bit :)

Looks like it's just Gran Turismo 6 that takes ages to mount. Tested a few other games quickly (Diablo 3, GOW 3 etc..) which mount at normal speed.
Mounted Gran Turismo 6 a bunch of times in a row and takes ~10 seconds of staring at a white screen after it says game mounted every time.

Looked for the option to disable auto-fix but didn't see it. (getting late here, probably missed it lol)
So I reinstalled rebug to go back to it's built in 1.41.38 version of webman which loads GT6 at normal speed... odd.

edit 2: I did notice this while digging around, I think I must of renamed that game recently during my cleanup, not sure if that could have anything to do with it?

1. CCAPI 2.60 rev3 release note says it supports FW up to 4.70 CEX
2. Please do not activate PSN Patch until you mount games, because PSN Patch disables COBRA completely..
3. PSN connectivity won't be activated until you activate PSN Patch

Thanks for the feedback.

[MENTION=3310]MGOguy1025[/MENTION] [MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION] FYI. New update for Ccapi 2.60 released, rev 4 added support for 4.70 Dex

Yep, tryed online and working like a charm, psnpatch and webman is working without any issues. I Recommend disable all plugins of psnpatch before install rebug, then activate rebug mode and cobra in rebug tool box and at the end, activate psnpatch plugin :)
No need to disable PSNPatch plugin to install rebug.
;)

(I have personally installed literally dozens of rebug official versions and test versions without a single issue).

Just updated to webmanmod 1.41.41 then tried this, no change unfortunately. Thanks for the idea anyway.

God of war uses the same symbol in it's name but still loads quickly.

Thanks for the info... a comparison with the xml produced by 1.41.41 would be helpful to see the differences. It could give me some clue.

Thanks for the info... a comparison with the xml produced by 1.41.41 would be helpful to see the differences. It could give me some clue.

Just had a look and the only difference I can see in the XML is after the file name: random=113b instead of random=c30f

Code:
<Table key="0000"><Pair key="icon"><String>/dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/covers/BCES01893.JPG</String></Pair><Pair key="title"><String>Gran Turismo®6</String></Pair><Pair key="module_name"><String>webbrowser_plugin</String></Pair><Pair key="module_action"><String>http://127.0.0.1/mount_ps3/dev_hdd0/PS3ISO/Gran%20Turismo%206.ISO?random=113b</String></Pair><Pair key="info"><String>/dev_hdd0/PS3ISO</String></Pair></Table>

As a comparison here is how God of war comes up (uses the same R character) but loads at normal speed.
Code:
<Table key="0008"><Pair key="icon"><String>/dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/covers/BCES00510.JPG</String></Pair><Pair key="title"><String>God of War® III</String></Pair><Pair key="module_name"><String>webbrowser_plugin</String></Pair><Pair key="module_action"><String>http://127.0.0.1/mount_ps3/dev_hdd0/PS3ISO/God%20of%20War%20III.ISO?random=37c1</String></Pair><Pair key="info"><String>/dev_hdd0/PS3ISO</String></Pair></Table>

I'm telling ya, this CECHL02 is cursed! Still not game enough to attempt soldering the CECHA01 yet though :(

now i have noticed some other thing, based on the latest cobra source.

i don't know if it is just me, cause i am using personalized cobra and webman sources, but somehow the video mode patch for ps2 dvd-isos does not get applied, even i have applied fix to storage_ext.h.
for ps2 cd-isos, the patch works fine and gets applied everytime. maybe someone of you can take a look at it? i don't know how this could be fixed atm

Is that after our changes? or before? because COBRA has a chronic problem with video mode patches for both psx/ps2.

No need to disable PSNPatch plugin to install rebug.
;)

I just had made that recomendation because i've pass from cfw cobra to cfw rebug, the plugin is the same?

my cobra source is based on your last released 7.1 source. you know it is way different, but the new additions and fixes are all applied on my source.

the patch works fine for me on psx and ps2 cd isos, but not ps2 dvd. could it be, that dvd based ps2 games do not need any vmode patch and just cd based games? it is long time gone now and i have no more ps2 clues, but weren't ps2 dvd games region free as well?

edit
i also have now noticed, if i remove ps3mapi completely from cobra source, those additions for dual vsh do not work at all. only with ps3mapi somehow

Hmmmmmm, well as long as you don't have any issue with frames while playing PS2 dvd rips, then vmode fix is not really needed, this patch was needed to apply correct refresh rate to reduce frame drop and glitches. But I admit the code is buggy and does not properly work on BC consoles..

Some users should experience issues with loading PAL games on NTSC console or vice versa, I had an issue with E01 [semi-bc] and now it's gone for unknown reason.. perhaps the issue was also .. "SEMI"... but I still have an issue with this vmode thing not correctly applied on A01.

For whatever reason, it works too perfect on SLIM models..

hmm, now that is weird. cannot imagine that it should make any difference based on ps3 model. does that patch work fine on rogero 4.46 cobra for nand models? if so, there must be a user fault and the source should be fixed. i should also try rogero cobra with ps2 dvd isos, to see if the patch gets applied there.

I was able to reproduce the same issue while on Rogero 4.46.. it's the code's fault.
