I modded those files based on ofw 4.70 xml / old rebug xml, and playstation home app is not "Re-added". Maybe you were looking at old 4.66 xml I gave you

Op says it's happening on all rebug cfw revision, I don't think it has to do anything with what I added. but I'll take a look on his case and try using your xml

EDIT 1

[MENTION=872]sandungas[/MENTION]

Just tried yours, it also makes the same bug.. =_=..

EDIT 2
[MENTION=124]kokotonix[/MENTION]

Now I see what is doing when using debug vsh

It redirects pkg folder's path to app_home, but app_home is completely removed from xml due to prevent from double listing.. and [MENTION=872]sandungas[/MENTION]'s xml doesn't work at all with mm's pkg installation.
[MENTION=124]kokotonix[/MENTION]

I was able to fix the issue by readding app_home query in the xml back.. but this will possibly make that pkg double listing bug again.

Try this xml, this should fix your issue

Code:
open_path /q?subclass=x-host/package&path=/app_home//431.pkg

The XML files you sent me i have them labeled as "XML joonie 470 cfw"... so not sure if it was you or me but there was a confussion there because are the ones with the problems i mentioned before

Im pretty sure the files i made are fine (though im human and i was not able to test them, but im very picky with certain things)... and the file you just posted is fine too because it has the missing:

key="seg_hdd_install"
key="seg_pkg_install"

This was missing in previous rebugs, and i thought this was the cause of the problem... but if you tested them and this didnt fixed the problem.... the only posible explain is the problem is in other place, not in the xml's

Im uploading the XML's i made here for people to see ---> https://www.sendspace.com/file/fszndj
I had certain interest in rebug to use them to standarize things, specially how the package manager is added as an external .xml (is rebug package manager "classic" version linked to resources inside rco's but separated as an external .xml), the comments in the custom entries, and the new "key" names. Because rebug is like a reference in some things, but because has not been added in rebug 4.70 (and joonie gave me his approval to publish in public) now i post them here for people to take a look
I know are not so important, but is a good cleanup, and works as a reference to know how to modify the .xml's for the newer firmwares that will be released in the future
The files was intended for being released with rebug, but now im publishing them this way is better to consider them experimental because final users are not supposed to install them manually

Please [MENTION=46]haxxxen[/MENTION], [MENTION=124]kokotonix[/MENTION] [MENTION=1720]self_slaughter[/MENTION], etc... take a look, experiment with them and feel free to use them

[MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION]:

These are fantastic news !
Personally, I don't mind about the double entries, as the mapping is a very interesting functions as it helps a lot with our HDD organization.

I've not yet been able to test your files, but will do it today night.
(I've been out for the easter hollydays without my PS3, and on monday Bloodborne entered home bringing a PS4 with it - so I had other "priorities" :D )

[MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION] When this is ironed out will this be posted as an update to current 4.70.1 firmware or will we have to wait until the next major release?

I was looking at some of the icons of this firmware and i thought that they need a few improvements, so i did improved them as well as created some "new" ones, like these for example:
tex_Sign_In.png
tex_Signing_In.png
tex_go_store.png

So this is the list of all the changes/additions i made.

  • explore_category_psn.rco
    • tex_Sign_In.gim (This is a new icon and it's the psn login icon. On 4.70.1 the same icon is used for both psn signup and login)
    • tex_Signing_In.gim (This is also a new icon)
    • tex_psn.gim (The one included in rebug 4.70.1 is 48x48 while the OFW icon is 46x46 so i made a new rebug red 46x46 icon based on the original one)
    • item_tex_ps_store.gim (Remade the icon to remove those green pixels around the bag handles or whatever they are called)

  • explore_category_game.rco
    • item_tex_ps_store.gim (Remade the icon to remove those green pixels around the bag handles or whatever they are called)

  • explore_plugin_full
    • tex_Sign_In.gim (This is the non-ingame version of the one from explore_category_psn.rco)
    • tex_Signing_In.gim (This is the non-ingame version of the one from explore_category_psn.rco)
    • item_tex_online_storage.gim (A little bit less pixellated and more centered icon)
    • tex_psn_big.gim (A little bit less pixellated and also removed a bluish pixel on the left of the logo)
    • tex_psn.gim (The one included in rebug 4.70.1 is 48x48 while the OFW icon is 46x46 so i made a new rebug red 46x46 icon based on the original one)
    • tex_go_store.gim (This is a new icon, the one from 4.70.1 has the blue psn shopping bag)
    • Italian.xml (Improved a bit the package manager italian translation)

  • xmb_ingame.rco
    • tex_psn.gim (Removed a bluish pixel on the left of the logo)

  • npsignin_plugin.rco
    • tex_category_psn.gim (Removed a bluish pixel on the left of the logo)

Also i've made a coldboot from the Rebug scorpion logo and i think it looks way better than the default one.

got the symbol of the scorpion?

I have no idea where you got that...

coldboot.raf

got the symbol of the scorpion?

here's the image used. I had to convert it to jpeg for tinypic though, but it's a dds file by default:

2cep5qc.jpg

if u want to extract a coldboot image, the easiest way is: dropping the coldboot.raf in a hex editor, delete the first eight bytes, use simplyzip to decompress via zlib compression, drop the decompressed coldboot file into p3t extractor (the theme extractor) or u can hex out the image file which is in gtf file format, remove _1.gim from the end of the file name, and drop the gtf image into gtf2dds (part of sony's dev kit). then, u'll have the image. :-)

This .raf extraction method by using the trick with p3textractor is obsolete and is not perfect, now the tool you need to use is "cxml decompiler" (is compatible with .raf .qrc and .p3t) it makes a perfect extraction, but before using cxml decompiler is needed to make the zlib decompression as you explained, by removing the first 8 bytes + simplyzip
Download cxml decompiler alpha Multi Upload biz
CXML Containers - PS3 Developer wiki
Coldboot.raf - PS3 Developer wiki

Edit:
After the extraction you need to look at the .xml file generated by the tool (this file is a very accurate representation of the original .raf internal structure), inside the .xml you can identify the file names and file extensions, then you can rename the files

For the images (in .gtf format) the only option is gft2dds as you said... and when the images are in .dds you can use any standard image tool to convert them like irfanview
For the script (in .jsx format) you can use rcomage (with the decompile or decode options) but the output is broken, by now doesnt supports ps3 scripts format.... or you can use the tool jsxviewer made by tyzzyt (is still in beta but works better than rcomage)... or you can decompile the opcodes manually one by one like i did with the coldboot.js i published in coldboot.raf page in wiki, is the same "playstation javascript format" used in the scripts inside dynamic themes (i spent a week of nightmares with the manual decompiling of the official coldboot script, heheh)
Also, with the .xml generated by cxml decompiler... is posible to prepare another .xml that can be used to make a full rebuild of the .raf file in a very accurate way with raf_compiler.exe (the .xml generated by cxml decompiler and the .xml needed for raf_compiler are pretty similar)... this file is the "coldboot.xml" i published in coldboot.raf page in wiki
