PS3 4.75 CFW -- FERROX (Standard-CEX) by Alexander

Following the recent release of his 4.75 Dual Boot Firmware, developer Alexander has now also released a Standard CEX CFW for firmware 4.75 with the release of "4.75 FERROX v1.00". As many of you know for those of you who do not, this comes with the common standard cfw features as listed in the feature list, No native COBRA CFW features are present in the Custom Firmware but various features such as using background loading plugins & ISO Support can be achieved by the Mamba payload & other homebrew apps/utility on a standard CFW such as this one. Hi everybody,

Do I need to remove all pkg's I have installed in HABIB cobra 1.03 before I install this one?
If yes, in addition to remove from XMB what folders need to disappear aswell?

ps3 temp is high after 10 mins of use i dont know why
place is well venteleted from all sides and its rainy season here!!

There is a new patch found some days ago to remove completly the epilepsy warning screen by patching a flag in vsh.self (an 1=enabled replaced by a 0=disabled)
Is explained here ---> PS3 Developer wiki - Patches - disable epilepsy message

All credits to mysis for the reversing, and the people at #casabonita channel in efnet irc for betatesting and brainstormings

This is a simple task that i did for ps3mfw builder that allows you turn off the epilepsy message using mysis stuff. Of course it's aimed more to developers and mfw advanced users than to final users. Just put it inside tasks folder of ps3mfw builder and select what cfw you want to patch. It can be found here.

after playing game online advanced warfare using this cfw i dont know why when turning off the ps3 its showing green plus yellow light and when properly its turned off its red light showing when i again started the ps3 to knwo temperature its 71 degree and yet before on 4.70 habib their was no such weird thing happned ever to my ps3!! this cfw is really ******* up my ps3 guys!!!1


when 4.70 cfw was earlier released by axelander then too my ps3 faced peoblems such as over heating warning then i installed habib 4.70 no problem at all i used to play 4 hrs but for now sure i am unable to ******* play!!!
habib dev where are you we need a habib cfw cex!!!

[MENTION=2248]rinkulsk[/MENTION] If you're think this CFW is not for you then go back to 4.70 that you like, your console is not ******* up, you can always back to another cfw.. This CFW is tested on many models by devs, users, and downgrade service providers, and nobody got same issue as you. My advice for you is check thermal paste and what is more important set fan control in webman to more agressive.

30 c is a lot higher than average room temp. Try set minimal fan speed to 32-34% and automatic for 62-66 c. If you still have temp problem then is recommended to change thermal paste. Even if your console is latest downgradable this mean that your paste have probably now 4 years and is totally dry.

My boy, you are too aggressive. keep calm. :)
I'm sorry but you have some problems with your PS3, none of my tester and or users, has encountered such problems.
As we have already explained, changing the thermal paste on the CPU / GPU, I will recommend a Artic Colling MX4.
With 30° outside , as you would like them to be the temperature of the PS3 ? fresh ... ?
If you do not like my work, go back to Habib 4.70 and or any other CFW.

If current cfw devs don't include this patch in some cfw then IMO cfw scene i staying in one place from ~2012 (excluding cobra). Maybe i need to write this like 15 years old kid: Please ,please ,please include something new in cfw :) [MENTION=872]sandungas[/MENTION] Thank you for this info and [MENTION=6059]Ezio[/MENTION] thx for implement this into understandable form to mfw builder task, vsh menu and mods like this are very important for me. This is what i call true cfw, custom should mean freedom! Not just enabling homebrew on next sony "FW". This make firmware custom, now i see only enabling homebrew which is hard to say is CFW imo. Devs don't feel disrespect here, just i want to see new things, not only PSN access without spoof.

what cause my ps3 go yellow light was game sonic manager when ever i run game sonice manger when it fully loads up before loading fuclly yellow lights comes up then ii decided to play without manager id from cd i was playing killzone 3 via cd and played half hour ps3 was cool and no yellow light!

could please explain more, how you min webman? sen enabler? im new on ps3 scene, so pls explain how to go online with ferrox 4.75.

My PSP.pkg don't work any more :( I switched from habib to ferrox hoping that would solve the problem.
Restored databases, etc. but nothing works. It always gives me this errorcode: 80029537
