Following the recent release of his 4.75 Dual Boot Firmware, developer Alexander has now also released a Standard CEX CFW for firmware 4.75 with the release of "4.75 FERROX v1.00". As many of you know for those of you who do not, this comes with the common standard cfw features as listed in the feature list, No native COBRA CFW features are present in the Custom Firmware but various features such as using background loading plugins & ISO Support can be achieved by the Mamba payload & other homebrew apps/utility on a standard CFW such as this one. PSP worked fine on 4.70, never got PS2 working...
But I needed to upgrade to get some of my DLCs from PSN. And I don't know how to downgrade.
An easy tutorial (step to step) for playing PSP, PS1 and PS2 games on 4.75 would be nice, I read so many tuts until now I think my head explodes....

PS1: Mount ISO in favorite backup manager, run game from disc icon.
PSP: Install PSP launcher (one time only), Mount ISO in favorite manager (CSO is not supported) and run using PSP launcher Download: Cobra PSP Launcher v2.00 by Cobra - PS3 Brewology - PS3 PSP WII XBOX - Homebrew News, Saved Games, Downloads, and More!
PS2: Highly recomended to use latest habib fw for that. Install PS2 ISO LAUNCHER 1.03 activate it in psnpatch (one time only). Run it (laucher not psnpatch) and maintain sync (without mounting any games). Now onwards when you mount a ISO, run the Placeholder Icon and ISO will be loaded.

CECH-3000X and above, or CECH-2500X models manufactured after 2010 and are shipped with 3.56 as the factory firmware CANNOT have CFW 3.55 installed, even if you try to install a downgrader PUP onto it as the post-3.55 firmwares have a built-in integrity/verification check to see if the firmware is official or not.

So how would I patch it? As I said I'm new to this but follow instructions very well. All I really want to do is be able to download a game from the internet and install/play it on my ps3.

I've been seeing this pages and videos online about people jailbreaking 4.75 by downloading a 4.75 jailbroken file and putting it on a thumb drive then doing system update with it. Is this real or people just trying to brick peoples ps3's. I downloaded one of the files but it is password protected and you have to complete some BS offers to get the password. Just wondering if you guys think this is legit or not.

quando vado sulla playstation 3 che gli do l'aggiornamento sulla chiavetta mi trova ferrox parte poi arriva al 72 percento e mi da file danneggiati.
come posso fare? ho provato più strade però mi da la stessa cosa non so più come fare.

[MENTION=14422]carlicri[/MENTION] , dovresti usare la lingua inglese per il supporto. Comunque se ti arriva al 72%, vuol dire che hai una PS3 con Original Firmware superiore al 3.55. Non puoi effettuare una modifica software con un OFW 3.55+/4.xx . Mi spiace.
