4.75 Custom Firmware (CFW) & Updated Homebrew Apps

Use 4.70 or earlier version which you prefer...the most important is pre-check dump before patching..min. 3-4 times!!

I am on OFW 4.75!! Just double checking then...

I have a valid dump of my NOR... can I use the nor patcher 4.70 then?

Thank ou in advance.

I can patch a .bin OFW4.75 with PS3 Nor and Nand Auto Patcher v4.70 By darkjiros

CFW and then install the latest version of Ferrox4.75 standard that has come to 4.75 ??

Sera that can do that ??

You can, but you will not boot to the xmb just after the flash. Instead you'll have a message asking to update your system to 4.75. Then you can install a CFW4.75.
Or use a 4.75 patch, you'll boot to XMB and you'll be able to update to CFW via XMB.

I mean that with PS3DumpChecker I can patch it?
yes

no passwords or surveys here, Usually if there is a survey it's usually fake so stay away from things like that..

Just keep a watch here as this will be the thread OTHER PLACES will be watching. ..

[TUTORIAL] HOW TO MAKE A PERSONALIZED CFW/MFW WITH PS3 MFW BUILDER

Yea playerkp420 posted it here a few pages back. I personally was reserving a bit of caution on MFW builds, i just think a CFW built from scratch is better (which at times those are not always honest) versus MFW builds at least for the first builds of a new firmware update (just my personal thing, but i hear his is has been stable.).. I told him i would add it to the list but i think anything listed needs better documentation..

perhaps doing a mfw section with a warning above it
but then again even rogero / habib / ferrox / etc has at some point created a brick cfw so is a mfw created by someone who has good experience in using mfw builder any risker then the built from scratch cfw

Hi guys, tried to use nor patcher 4.70 without success.

Have a PS3 here that was on CFW 4.70 and was acidentally updated to OFW 4.75.

Did 3 dumps using 2 differents E3 flat cables, all of them are equal on comparison (know that this is almost useless) and has the same results on PS3DumpChecker Build 484.

As it was using CFW before, during validation it always fail on ROS1 Hash (what is normal according to Rogero).

After apply the patch with NOR Patcher 4.70 the PS3 beeps 3 times and turn off.

Soldered TRISTATE Point and reflash the OFW4.75 again and the ps3 turns on normally.

Any clues?

Thanks all of you in advance.

Best regards,

ZerO.
