PS3 4.75 FERROX: NOBD Edition by Alexander

Following Alexander's previous 4.75 FERROX Standard Edition & also 4.75 Dual Boot Firmware, the CFW dev has now released a NOBD Edition of his Standard 4.75 CEX CFW. The NOBD Editions are only for PS3 Console's that have a broken BD Drive and/or Logic Board, if you come under that condition you know very well that your console can't launch homebrew, apps, games or really anything from the XMB. As those task required the console (specifically the BD[break]ss[/break] drive/board) to be in working order. That was until developer's from the past where able to bypass those checks in the firmware. Which now allows PS3 user's with a damaged console still able to use CFW for many task that does not involve the drive.


Do not install this firmware if you have a working BD Drive and Logic Board as it will render your console drive useless for the duration that this firmware is installed . So, if you find yourself with a Console that has a damaged drive and not allowing you to launch apps then checkout this latest NOBD Standard CFW to restore some functionality to your console.

NOTES:

  • Installed either by XMB that Recovery. In case are proceeding by Recovery remove any CD from the PS3.
  • After installation enter Recovery and rebuild the file system to prevent any malfunction.
  • Games tested IrisMan 3.47.1. Some games may require conversion to ISO.
  • By installing this CFW Console player running, it will be NOT running. CFW installed a "Standard" and return to work.

The iso for PSX , should work without problems . For the PS2 games , you have to wait a version COBRA NOBD .

got it working with showtime pkg .. ps2 games working with placeholder and reactpsn. youtube pkg works most ps3 games from external .

lol wtf dude? a cfw without bt and wifi??? tell me, how you r going to use your controllers then if bt doesnt work - with usb-cable only???

when will the cobra edition will be out for 4.75? and if you wane dev one, r u going to build in cobra 7?
