    • example has been attached with new include file named "sc10_15.h"
    OTHER CHANGES COMPARED:
    • with ALL the current cobra cfw released they have a stage0 bug which overwrites another function stack, which could cause instability

  1. It still does not support playing PS2, PSOne CD-R/DVD-R games from the Blu-ray drive. Cobra USB did support this. (Cobra USB Team: v3.2 - Now supports burned PS2 Discs & Region Free | MaxConsole).
Edit: It recognizes that its a PS2 game but dumps back to the dashboard with error 80028F18

It was supported on 3.55 due to ps2_softemu, but sony removed it to promote ps2classics and now we are stuck with shitty ps2_netemu it's not our fault

FYI, COBRA USB 6.0 + COBRA CFW 4.30 didn't support it either.

Here's the quote from the original article posted on psx-scene

Support for PS2 isos in non BC consoles was removed in 4.30, due to ps2_softemu missing. It has been reenabled now by hacking of ps2_netemu.
You can use it in the same way as before, just load an iso and launch from disc icon, Cobra core takes care of rest.
No need for encrypted isos, isos patched with limg sectors, etc. Just your normal PS2 isos dumped from discs or taken from somewhere.
However, there is no support for optical discs in ps2_netemu. Don't forget to set the memory cards in XMB, in the old memmory card utility for PS/PS2, as ps2_netemu won't let you assign them in game.
BC consoles will still use their respetive emulators (ps2_emu, ps2_gxemu), which have much better compatibilty and also support optical discs, original or backup.

and about PSX Optical media, are you sure it doesn't work? I tested burnt PSX media, and it works. So you just assume it wouldn't because you only tested PS2 on your non-BC and didn't work.

I have a BWC console. Sorry about putting PSOne in there, I meant PS2 backups on CD-R/DVD-R. PSX Works fine.Thank You for the explanation.

I tested ps2 dvd as well, burnt ones, as the dev stated, it works sometimes , it doesn't sometimes. But retail discs work just fine

I have a suggestion though.
If you got half the story wrong, maybe you should correct the identical statements you made in other forums as well so as not to provide wrong information to noobs...

I may have to downgrade back to 3.55 and completely format the HDD and start fresh.. something must be messed up. PS2 backups use to work from the Cobra USB fine, ever since then it has not worked.

Fyi I own both A01 and E01, if you have any issue with ps1/2 I can reproduce it unless you did something wrong

I just wanted to add also that if I rip the PS2 game to the HDD and mount them with webman, it still drops back to the dashboard with the same error code 80028F18

Can you try ps2 soft emulation toggle see if it works? I've seen some reports about Dead EE/GS chips lately

Unless you toggled PS2 emulator to original which you should NOT have

PS2 Soft EMU dosn't work. My EE/GG is good. It plays original ps2 CD-Rom/DVD-Rom game perfectly. I revert back to 3.55. formated the HDD and updated to the latest rebug and its still a no go. WebMan still doesn't work. It just crashes back to the dashboard :/

PS2 SOFT EMU DOESN'T WORK WITH OPTICAL DISC

Did you ever toggle PS2 Emulator option ? there's no reason that's not working if you didn't mess with with it.

And did you enable COBRA? You know COBRA is disabled by default right?

I have this PS3 since launch.. never had a problem with it. One of the Lucky few that still has a BWC Model that hasn't suffered the YLOD/RLOD/GLOD, plus I to per-cautions before that would happen.

You didn't answer my question.

PS2 Emulator is set to COBRA ? yes or no?

COBRA enabled? yes or no?

Yes, cobra mode is enabled. PS2 emu is on Cobra not original. I use PS2 Soft for loading games mounted with Webman and its not working.

PS2 Soft?, you mean PS2 ISO rips? I still think your PS2 Rips are bad if original disc runs fine.

So maybe the method of ripping PS2 Disc is the problem for you

Because you're the first one who reported this issue ever since REBUG 4.65

here's the demo video I made while back for REBUG 4.65 [Running on CECHE01]
