PS3 4.82 DUALBOOT [Overflow] Firmware (FOR CFW USER's)

This is a dualboot firmware for existing CFW user's. This firmware (by Bobby_downgrades of Overflow) has the same exact feature set as an Official Firmware, but with a small modification, that allows user's to return to a CFW installation. So the purpose of this type of firmware is to play your disc based games without a risk of a ban from PSN as your CFW can not be detected as your not technically running a CFW when using the dualboot firmware. As its just a small mod to allow you to return to a CFW once again unlike OFW 4.82. That is the only difference and purpose of this firmware. . It has proven to be an effective way not to get banned playing your disc based games on PSN but yet have the ability to return to CFW.

    • Built from 4.82 ofw

    • Lv0 isoldr security disabled
    • Pkg verifier security disabled
    • Gives the impression of official firmware
    • No cfw features
    • Can have cfw 4.82 installed onto it
    • Can have ROGERO 9.99 downgrader installed onto it

    All worked flawless with no problem.
    Installation
    ​
    Make sure your usb is formatted to fat 32.
    1. Create a folder on your usb called PS3. (in capitals)
    2. Inside the PS3 folder make another folder called UPDATE. (in capitals)
    3. Put the PS3UPDAT.PUP file inside the UPDATE folder.
    4. Put your usb into your ps3 and go to the settings column, go to system update and update via storage device.
    5. When the ps3 reboots go to install packages and install webman updater from thye hard drive.
    6. run webman updater, when ps3 reboots delete the package.
    If webman games does not show in the game column open multiman then quit and it will be there.​

Source Links are provided for a reason :) Just sayin' they sometimes can answer many question easier then typing them. but yes this is the Overflow brand of firmwares by Bobby downgrade Edit: i made that more clear in the into as i did not mention bobby in the intro.

I don't know about db specifically, but you might be able to create a 4.83 mfw db with mfw builder and the official update. with that, you can select which patches you want. otherwise, wait for someone to release an actual cfw. :)
