4.84 Custom Firmware (CEX/DEX/REX/noBD/Dualboot)

4.84 CFW / Homebrew / Plugins / Tools

It has been updated for 4.84 CEX /DEX, I just downloaded it from Enstone's site, and was about to add it in the resources section. But by the looks of the amount of downloads on the site it has not long been done......

https://www.enstoneworld.com/downloads/index/24/CCAPI_2_80_REV5_Package

Being a serial offending modder I tend to keep tabs on these sorts of things.... :-p

It was also updated for 4.83 CEX, you can find that on his site or on brewolgy

Of course it has not been long it needed 4.84 DEX or REBUG REX release.
Enstone was fast this time typically it takes him a few weeks (until he gets around to it,)

ok thank y sir will it be on here when they do
added to first post

(thanks to @Cypher_CG89 for the alert)

I built an unofficial update of ManaGunZ v1.34 : https://www.mediafire.com/file/2barz4tn7i998bb/ManaGunZ_v1.34_unofficial.pkg/file see new link below

Added 4.84 CFW support.
PS3 and PS2 ISO's tested with Mamba and Cobra.

Thanks @Zar who authorized me to share this awaiting a next great official update ;)

Edit:
A new unoficial (v2) build : http://www.mediafire.com/file/rg5515ah1zmb9gv/ManaGunZ_v1.34_unofficial.v2.pkg/file

Added Rebug 4.84 REX/D-REX support
Note: a small issue (if it's an issue) loading PS2 iso's with Mamba in DEX : disc is mounted but is "Unsuported Data". Works great in CEX and/or with cobra.

ok, for that broken ps2 on mamba, you just gotta verify offsets and hashes for patching explore_plugin, explore_category_game VSH. I'll take a peep later.

hay do u got a link for ccapi that works for 2.60

hay do u got a link for ccapi that works for 2.60

Just use that link and scroll down, all versions are on that page.

BTW if you need that for a "Tool" on the PC ie it says ccapi260.dll missing, needs 2.60 or something like that then just find the PC version 2.60 it will connect to the latest PS3 version.

I use 2.60 and 2.70 on the PC and now the latest one on the PS3> but not tested if they still connect, but they should do as 2.60 PC connects to 2.80rev2 on PS3

@littlebalup looks like mamba's using old method of getting module hashes.. I still don't understand why the compiled bin doesn't work when hashes didn't really change which explains why older 4.82 payload works on 4.84.. All you had to do was just to global change for fw version strings..

https://github.com/Zarh/ManaGunZ/blob/master/payloads/MAMBA/lv2/include/lv2/symbols.h

The 4.84 DEX hashes and offsets I used have been generated using OffsetFinder (part of @Zar sources). It worked for 4.84 CEX.

I tryed by copying/pasting existing 4.82 payload binarie as 4.84. It doesn't work...

I build mamba484D get ps2 broken a same
but I try rename mamba482D to 484D work fine
For ManaGunZ?

Then probably just hash for VSH is not accurate... the cobra hash check has been loosen since habib's change so that way it made it easier for modders since they don't have to deal with recompiling/fixing hashes.

It's kinda weird, I just realized that mamba doesn't check vsh hash..

In my opinion the "unsupported media" error message appears when one of the plugin isn't patched to bypass the check : "is this system able to laucnh PS2 disk ?"
There isn't lot of ps2 patch anyway, perhaps one of them isn't correct but I checked them and it look like they are good... maybe in DEX there is another check...

The truth is I never tested PS2 games in DEX; There is a strong pssibility this issue existed already in previous firmwares...

yeah hashes didn't change neither offsets.. wonder why it fails to patch. I can't test this on my CECHE01 and CECHA01 atm.. I need a slim to test that.. since that patch to mount ps2 disc is designed to work for non-BC.. (explore_plugin, explore_category_game and vsh.self) @littlebalup can you upload your src somewhere? Github preferred
