Thanks for the Info, for the xml's what exactly I have to edit in them?

You have to add the entry for webMAN in them, I have literally just had to do this myself after sawpping the HDD out of one of my PS3:

Here look at this....

Then do exactly the same in the category_game_tool2.xml, in the exact same place.

Cobra cfw (overflow) will load webman from /dev_flash/module/webftp_server.sprx location with no need for boot plugins txt.

Cobra? I have REBUG REX & D-REX Cobra and they still need the boot_plugins.txt to boot webMAN. Or have you made it so yours doesn't need it?

Try to first delete /dev_hdd0/xmlhost folder and also all webman documents of folders inside /dev_hdd0/tmp folder then install webman using installer again and it should work correctly.
If you know how to edit the xml I have made the xml clear to edit for adding webman to xmb. You would copy
/dev_flash/resource/explore/category_game.xml to usb or directly to pc, open file and find at top when a section is greened out that says webman, remove the arrows above and below this section then copy back the category_game.xml to same location replacing dev_flash with dev_blind in the path, restart ps3 and will have webman in xmb game category.

There is one problem, I deleted the stuff and installed webman from scratch, but now there are no resource folder in dev_flash anymore and it not even creates a xmlhost folder anymore, what should I do now? Now all my settings are gone. It just installed the plugin it seems and that's it.

Should of just edited the xml and the webMAN folders would have appeared on the xmb after a reboot. You could install the webman plugin through PSN Patch, that will load it into dev flash then use the webman mod updater to install the latest full version.

If there was no resource folder your xmb would be gone as well....

Okay then, I will try it when I come home. And yeah you're right, my xmb is still there.

TBH webMAN at time can be a right pain the the backside on a fresh install. I have just had the same 1 hour ago after swapping the HDD and its still not right. effing rebugifaction theme on it when i didn't select that. just going to delete and re-install it.

Using PSN patch to get the sprx into the dev flash is a quick way i figured out, but as long as the xml's have the right entries for it then your laughing as this is half the battle with this. Though I will say one thing, make a mistake with the xml's and thing's can and will go missing from the games category column or whatever xml your editing. Using a coding program with the ability to show you if the syntax is right or wrong helps as well. Code writer on MS store is good one for xmls, but notepad++ is the best one.

Yes, my cobra payload will load webman from flash without needing boot plugins txt, you can still load other sprx from boot plugins txt tho.

in the xmls in my cfw I have put notes in it as to what certain items are to make it easier for editing.

That's handy, wouldn't mind knowing how that's done, like what changes would be need to be made to the cobra source code ect.

Its not easy to figure out when you first look at the xmls, but i figured it out myself lol, also by moving things from one column to the other i learned how to code them properly. > after plenty of thing's went missing from the xmb for doing it wrong lol.

4.84 ofw - downgrade with 4.83 patches - install 4.84 overflow , is this possible ?

WTF? You just asked more or less the same thing on another thread..... the answer will not change from one thread to the next..FFS:sang banghead:
This is as bad as people asking about HAN across tons of threads expecting the answer to change.....:sang banghead:

hello thanks for sharing, but this is not real 4.84 when i check with webman it says firmware is 4.75.

Really? Your going to accuse a dev of being a fraud?

FYI if you install REBUG REX 4.82.2 and convert to DEX it will show on some backup mangers as 4.81. The same thing really.

Webman can't detect 4.84 correctly without updating code to detect 4.84 build string. Instead it show 4.75 because kernel used in 4.84 is the same kernel that was used in 4.75, 4.76, 4.81 - 4.84 (by $ony). Due to detection of the same kernel webman is able to work, but it will just show bad firmware info.

I just did in the other thread.... lol :D

Depends who's online to how quick you'll get a response, to much haste can lead people into issues that most of the time can be avoided. I said what I said in the other thread in case you went a did something rash and bricked your PS3... always wait and see what the dev's say, they where quick off the mark last time as well so hopefully they might be the same this time.

Just depends on life really as this is done in peoples spare time, I have loads atm so I am normally the first to reply on most things, well if I have a clue as to the issue anyways lol :D:-p

:angel::angel:Omg guys i got tired from trying all they ways u said but psn patch is the perfect solution just install it open it press select and mark all the three options showing.........thats it done
