PS3 4.86 OFW Released + 4.86 Custom Firmware / PS3HEN / Apps / Tools Updates

This may not be the place for that, but you still need an answer!

I would like to know if it is possible to use base64 or similar in the ps3 XML either in a theme or a homebrew! If this is possible I would like to know how?

i found someone who have an new E3 ODE PRO kit for 10 euro.its a better ideea to buy this kit and install in my super slim ps3 and then install a CFW?? or just stay with HEN.

after the last update of the PS3 4.86 system (I am using HFW 4.86.1) and HEN 3.0.1, here I am playing ps2 games using the Ps2 classic launch just as I did before the updates in the previous version 4.85 (HFW 4.85.1 + HEN 3.0.0).

But now my Ps2 Memory Card no longer appears inside the Ps2 classic launch emulator and I can't load my saves. When I try to save a game, the ps3 simply shuts down.

I tested it in several games, and some before even starting the game, the warning appears that I don't have a Ps2 Memory Card in slot1. however in XBM it has the Ps2 virtual Memory Card allocated in compartment 1.

I already deleted the Ps2 Memory Card that existed and created a new one but it doesn't work.

even in the Ps2 classic manager when I open it, he says I don't have an active Ps2 Memory Card, even though they are there in the XMB.

what should i do, will it be a bug of the new updates?

superslim can not use cfw...you must use hen...a flasher will not install cfw on superslim.
 
Somebody asked me a Dualboot 4.86. So here it is:

Installation:

  - Copy the "PS3UPDAT.PUP" file to the UPDATE folder you just created.
  - Verify the MD5 signature of the "PS3UPDAT.PUP" file you just copied in the UPDATE folder.
  - Plug the USB storage device to your PS3 then install via [Settings] -> [System Update] -> [Update via Storage Media]

I just updated to this firmware with no errors. When I try to run netflix(non-psn) or youtube, I get this message: the latest update for this software has been found.... It doesn't accept my X or O button press. What can I do to make it work?
 
So I understand (forgive me if i'm wrong) there's no debug tools for 4.86 of rebug yet? (I had to reinstall my CFW due to me making a oopsie)

Yes you can, just install HFW from recovery then go to **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) from your PS3 browser and run the HEN installer (for me the alternate installer works better)

hen is not jailbreak but yes he can use hen
 
I tried install cobra 4.85.1 hfw on a ps4 super slim cfw (not jailbroken) and on copying progress from usb to storage it says "Data are corputed" What can I do??
 
Hey guys,I bought a ps3 from a friend it says it has Hen installed but it fails when I try to initialize it ! And it refuses to allow me to install pkg files as well I get an error ! The worst part is this model is cfw compatible! So is there a way to install cfw over hfw with hen installed ?

install ofw or hfw. then use bgtoolset.
