Question: i was reading at the HEN psxplace page and there's the "update" option at HFW tool. To use it, i must install the HFW linked down the page and then go there? Or when i go in "update ps3hen" it will automatically download the HFW?

I updated Auto HEN Installer for HFW 4.88!

Follow these directions:
  1. Open https://ps3addict.github.io/autohen488 in PS3 browser. The download will start automatically. After the download completes, it will install and reboot.
  2. Enable HEN and install the "HEN303HFW488FULL.pkg" from your package manager.
  3. Finally, reboot again.

Thanks to lmn7 for his installer and P3T generator scripts! Thanks to Joonie, habib, and zecoxao for HFW! Thanks to PS3Xploit Team for HEN!

To use this i must install the HFW 4.88 located in the first page of this post, right?

Thank you for the great and fast job to update ps3 system. I love you xD
I'm Here because I want to report a system crash trying to use Hen Toolbox 1.00 after hfw4.88.1/hen 3.0.3 installation. After that, Hen toolbox 1.00 is disable and it needs to patch xmb as the first time to work... But in that moment system crashes and restart from recovery, asking for a new system installation (select+start with a usb drive into ps3 - no data will be wasted)

I try cancel hen toolbox with file manager in "game" folder in hhd0... And reinstall it... No crashes in recovery... But there are freezes during the enable hen....

Someone Here can confirm my same problems with this homebrew ???

hen toolbox will need to be updated. the included enabler will not work with 4.88.

Sorry, I don't speak English. Compatible with CECH-4004A version?
Now I would install HFW and HEN for the first time, but they don't write the version I have 4004A, so I don't know if I can install it.

hello you beautiful people, i tried to install th hfw through recovery mode and the system update but can't get it done.. the system restarts everytime after 50%.. dont know what i'm doin wrong.. worked well with the earlier updates but now? i don't know

yes, HEN works on every PS3!

it propably worked. try one of the HEN installers. if it fails and says "NaN", then hfw did not install.

As an MD5 for the HFW 4.88, not the one listed in OP...

I re-download and re-extract and the MD5 is indeed that. (Turns out I had 'HMAC' checked. So that's HMAC MD5 w\ empty key.)

Installed it. It boots. Still trying to install HEN...
