you must wait for the 4.88 update to bgtoolset or use a hardware flasher. How can I go back to CFW 4.87?
Make sense to me, thanks for your reply. Any planned schedule for upgrading bgtoolset?you must wait for the 4.88 update to bgtoolset or use a hardware flasher.
whenever it is ready, no schedule.Make sense to me, thanks for your reply. Any planned schedule for upgrading bgtoolset?
Just recognized it after losing jailbreakwhenever it is ready, no schedule.
once you are on CFW, there is no need to install HFW or OFW again. installing them causes you to lose jailbreak. normally, you would just install the new CFW pup to upgrade (no need to use bgtoolset again unless you lose jailbreak).
make sure that qa flag is enabled in rebug toolbox FIRST (top of last column in toolbox). then install 4.88 dualboot. when done on 4.88, install your rebug.I apologize in advance for the probably dumb/noob question. I am on Rebug 4.86 lite. I am hoping to install 4.88 dualboot CFW to do some online stuff (e.g. sync trophies, play online with my disc based games, etc.), but would then like to go back to Rebug (any version 4.84-4.86 really). How would I downgrade from 4.88 dualboot to Rebug since all currently available Rebug CFWs have lower firmware versions?

hmm...well if it doesn't stay enabled, just install evilnat 4.88, reenable qa flag if needed. then go back to rebug. but i think it does stay enabled.Awesome. Thanks for the help! I was unsure if the QA toggle stayed enabled in dualboot cfw given that it is meant to function like ofw. I feel less anxious about performing the process now.
Hi All. I'm posting this to help anyone else who wanted to stay on rebug, but wanted to install dualboot to do some things online and then flashback to rebug for homebrew access. I installed dualboot with QA flag previously enabled as suggested. From Dualboot firmware I tried to install rebug 4.86, but when the PS3 tried to unpack it, I received a corrupted data error message. After re-downloading the the firmware file, checking the MD5, etc. to make sure all was legit, I tried a couple more times. Still same corrupted data error. I decided to install Evilnat's 4.88 CFW to see if that would work. It installed successfully. On the 4.88 CFW, I checked and QA flags was still enabled. From Evilnat's 4.88 CFW I then tried rebug again (I used the exact same firmware file, same usb drive, same everything!) and installed successfully.QA remains enabled until it is toggled again manually.
Yeah, DB CFW is basically official firmware, So it will not recognize the fake QA flag token from CFW.Hi All. In short, to get from dualboot to back to rebug i needed to go through 4.88 CFW even with QA enabled. I am by no means anything close to anything resembling a programmer or developer, but I am guessing there is something in the dualboot firmware that prevents it from downgrading even when QA flags are enabled. I hope this helps others avoid the frustration and scares I experienced when I thought I could not go back to CFW!!
