Hi guys, thanks for all the work.
What is dualboot?

Does any developer know how to inform about bgtoolset (@bguerville) for CFW compatible ps3 that are in OFW 4.89? , I wanted to know if it comes with HFW and HEN together! thanks in advance to all developers on the scene!

What is dualboot?

Dualboot is a modified "official firmware" (OFW or HFW) for consoles with CFW already installed. It allows the CFW user install a clean firmware without CFW syscalls and other patches (except the minimal ones required to return to CFW without having to jailbreak the console again).

Dualboot is only for CFW. Not for HEN consoles (superslims or slims non-CFW compatible).

Dualboot is intended mainly to play online with physical discs or PSN packages.
Dualboot+Hybrid is intended mainly to test HEN on CFW-compatible consoles.
e.g. Developers that need to test apps on HEN then want to return to CFW.

Fake-OFW payload offers a function very similar to Dualboot, except that it allows to restore CFW syscalls and ISO support without reboot or re-install the firmware.

Thanks for the answer, WOW, never thought that was possible, you guys are awesome

I was on 4.87, used ps3explot site backup up ram them downloaded patcher via https then applied the patched... I said applied patch successfully. I had evilNAT cobra 4.89 CFW on USB drive with automatic updates off and disconnected from internet. So then I said update software, it appears to have applied a cache 4.89 even though I had disconnected the machine from the internet. I then tried again, this time it gave me option for chose from local storage but said no applicable update available. So is bgtoolset patch gone and I need to wait until compatible version availalbe of is there a work around?

A good reminder that donations to PS3Xploit help the team and the scene out, and I'm sure their hard work can be appreciated even further that way. I've donated a few times in the past, but I always encourage others to do so as well.

Look at how much you would have spent on a hardware flasher or a downgrading service to modify your PS3, taking a fraction of what you would have spent and sending it over to the team is always helpful.

Thanks for the work you all do, always love seeing the community activity again whenever a new firmware drops!

Official donation methods are always on http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new)/
