4.90 cfw no longer blocking psn 1 day later??

so i installed evilnat friday night, when i booted it up and went to psn it said i needed to disable syscalls to go online. great. earlier today i did just that in order to download a cloud save i forgot to download when i upgraded my internal storage, but now for some reason when i turn on the ps3 its just automatically connecting to psn. how do i get it back to where it is blocking psn?

i went to cobra settings and set it to enable psn protection, but when i check syscalls status, it still says syscalls are enabled. how do i get this thing back to where when i click on "sign in" to psn, it gives me the error screen that i need to disable syscalls to go online. i just want that extra buffer of protection. thanks.
 
Is it possible you've checked the option to automatically log into PSN on startup? That's one of checkboxes you check when entering your account's email and password (other is Save Password).

yeah, thats always toggled. would evilnat's psn protection not supersede that preference? i guess thats the culprit, if not ::facepalm::
 
Then that's your issue.

The PSN protection only covers up the GUI making it unable for you to login - that's really whole logic behind it. It will not disable autologin fi it's enabled.

Usually connecting to PSN by itself would not cause an immediate ban even if syscalls are enabled. If you actually played a game while logged in though that's a different story.
Anyway if you just logged in and did not run any game while being logged in and you're not already banned then you probably have nothing to worry about. Just disable auto login to avoid any future incidents.

thanks for informing me. I was planning on playing multiplayer games like modnation and killzone to get some trophies but that's probably not a good idea lol. I'm curious, Has there been any reports of banning in 2024?

You can play online as long as you are not using any mods nor cheating tools. Best to be on OFW, just to make sure. You can install Dual Boot (DB) firmware so you can install CFW any time you want.
