Runtime error: file missing

i never had that error. i did not write the script and i do not know all the commands that it uses. however, it looks to me like it makes a file called "P3T.vbs" in your local temp directory. maybr for some reason, it can not write to that folder. try right clicking on the .bat file amd selecting "Run As Admin". if that does not work, check to see if your temp folder is read-only.

i will not do 4.89 until all known bugs are fixed. i could do 4.84 to 4.88 now, but there is no rush. current versions should install 3.0.3, but then auto-update to 3.1.0 anyway.

UPDATE:

Support added for installing HEN 3.1.1 on HFW 4.89.

All older versions still install 3.0.3 for now, but they will update to the latest version automatically when connected to the internet.

The download stops working at about 35%. There's no error message or anything, the percentage just stops going up and the time remaining starts getting longer.

everything seems okay on github. are you using the 4.89 version?

if you only tried once, please try again. otherwise, try a different internet connection if you can. you may also want to turn off proxy, vpn, and things like that.

im using a sandisk wi-fi emitter, as always to launch auto hen installer from the beggining.
i edited html "hdd0" to "usb000" to redirect it to usb, but "p3t NOT FOUND" is present, even using the same usb devices i used on 4.88, any idea?, thanks

Make sure that you have the .htaccess file (it may be hidden so can be hard to tell).

Make sure the p3t file is named SETUP.P3T (all capital letters).

Change this:

base_file="/dev_hdd0/theme/SETUP.P3T"

to something like this:

base_file="/dev_usb000/SETUP.P3T"

maybe you did not delete the "theme" part of the address?

usb000 is the right-hand usb (the one used for installing pup files)

if you use the other usb slot, it can be usb001 or usb006 (depending on model.)

@PLAYER 1 i tried to install from USB and got the same error. maybe something has changed in 4.89 that is causing a problem.

where do you put the html file on your device? can you just put all the files where you put the html? if you can, then you shouldn't have to edit the html.

Testing...
Tried 2 flavors of hfw4.89, always the NOT FOUND error from usb000. Im sure 4.89 has something to do in this case.
This system worked fine on 4.88.

Tried putting all the files in the usb stick emitter : it appears to find something, but after say "installing files" , NOT FOUND again.
Maybe the setup needs to be corrected?
The launcher works fine, the problem is to find the setup file.

My PS3 Slim was forgot for almost 5 years in the box, so my CFW is Habib 4.78, and I saw the last update from it is 4.81.

How can I proceed to install the HEN now? Is it better (or maybe the only option) to start from scratch with a blank HDD?

Or is there a way to update to at least 4.84+ and then install HEN? And when/if it succeeds, will it format the HDD?

Only super slims and slim consoles with minimum firmware 3.56 or higher need hen. you can install latest CFW if your console meets the requirements.
