4.93 EVILNAT (Cobra 8.5)

PS3 4.93 Evilnat w/ Cobra v8.5 - (CEX/PEX/D-PEX) 4.93

so a 2tb Samsung HD203WI 1AN10003 can be used for internal. That's good to know. I was planning on using an NTFS formatted external drive to store the games and the internal drive for game installs and updates. I think 2tb should be enough

No, it can not. You will end up having data corruption issues and file system integrity checks every time, as I've said.

You didn't read the link I've posted before.

Is it even possible?
Anything is possible. The cell overclock was thought to be a no go because it was supposedly locked in the Hypervisor, bootloader, or source code was needed, but here we are ;-). All depend on where knowledge is implemented. Some coders have more tricks then others so who knows when and how exactly.

Hey all. After installing a noBD 4.92.2 over a 4.92 regular, my XMB isn't showing any games and I cannot install webman mod (installing from hdd packages does nothing). Any reason this may happen?

NoBD disables all the BD drive related functionalities and that impacts in many normal PS3 features.

That CFW us supposed to be used only to bypass hardware issues.

Hello ,4.92.2 Evilnat w/ Cobra v8.5 - CEX can this cfw be installed directly over Rogero 4.55?
Do I also need a multiman version for this or is it used with webman? Can someone help me?

Hi everyone, I'm using the latest version of EvilNAT. Is there a way to copy or move the data from the ps3/game folder, i.e., PSN Games, DLCs, and updates, to a USB drive, or convert them back to pkg format? When I check XMB manually, I see an X icon.

Also, how is the hard drive replacement done? I want to replace it with a 1TB one. Is there a way to back up all files without deleting a single one, including trophies and mugs?

Hi @Evilnat. I have a question about the PS1 settings. I've installed the latest qCFW on a Super Slim and noticed that PS1 settings for full screen and smoothing are not being saved. Each time you launch a PS1 game the settings have to be re-enabled. My PS3 Fat still had Rebug 4.86 and those settings stay default after they are set... so all PS1 titles get those changes. I upgraded the PS3 Fat to Evilnat 4.92.2 CFW and now it also does not keep the PS1 settings saved. Is that a bug or a function of the CFW design?

Thanks for the Awesome work!!

Cheers.

PS: It's the same with the PS2 settings as well.

I've been using a 2TB Western Digital since 2018 with no trouble :)
Ripped straight out of a Portable Hard drive enclosure i bought at Jb Hi fi.
No corruption, no checks, 100s of games ps1 2 and 3 and no issues

It depends on the brand. I did this back then when people reckoned u could go up to 2Tb and it might work,
it might not depending on the hard drive brand and specs. Some said you definately could not.
I got lucky. Worked for me ! :)

Si mes souvenirs sont bons, il faut se connecter sur le NET pour charger le PlugIn.

If my memory serves me right, you need to connect to the internet to load the plugin.
