4.93 EVILNAT (Cobra 8.5)

PS3 4.93 Evilnat w/ Cobra v8.5 - (CEX/PEX/D-PEX) 4.93

Hello, could anyone try to help me on this last release of CFW ?
I installed for some times this last releaase with CEX and PEX modes, and i still have issues when i use my NTFS external HDD plugged into console.

I mean, since i updated to this 4.90 Evilnat from 4.89 Evilnat release, i start to get freeze / brick on User login everytime i have plugged my working NTFS HDD into console.
This HDD as always working good and perfect on 4.89 Evilnat release.
Trying to diagnose the cause of issue, I tried to remove all Webmod and PrepNTFS apps... but i still get this freeze/brick everytime i have the HDD plugged and User selection screen appears.

If i use an normal FAT32 formatted pendrive i am able to work, if i don't have nothing plugged everything is ok.
As well i tried to rebuild database, re-install the CFW even and without OC, try to restore some default settings... no success... looks likes there's any kind of issue on NTFS format that is not working correctly now...
There's any suggestion i could try ?
Thanks in Advance !

A bug was revealed, if the user number is higher than 16, fake activation is not created.

found where the bug is, you need:
Code:
sprintf_(exdata_dir, "/dev_hdd0/home/%08d/exdata", userid, NULL);

instead of
Code:
sprintf_(exdata_dir, "/dev_hdd0/home/%08X/exdata", userid, NULL);

I'm still trying to figure my issue... simply i just reformatted my console and restore settings, as well always on CFW 4.90.
Once i get fresh install, everything works nice, i was able to install only the WebMod lastest version, and PrepISO exFAT/NTFS 1.30.
After that i was able to reload my HDD, my games and all stuff.
Tested one PSX Game and works great reading from External NTFS HDD.
Then i start to install Apollo and PS2 Classics Loader and PSP Remaster PGK's and something seem's to "damage" the HDD readings again.
Same issue again... anyone have this kind of situation ?
Thanks

Thnx, with what i read it behave like this:you can use cfw and at any moment you want, just install a specially crafted ofw which you latter can install cfw on top of it.(as you explained)
But now this is not a big deal. As I read here, you have to before updating to 4.90 install webman mod 1.44.47 which i did prior to update(also tested if webman says it is on this version) but it seems, there something has gone wrong, after updating every time i try to lunche webman there is this error: the page cannot be displayed (8071053d)
https ://postimg.cc/ bGLL0vHW
I can't post links sooooo....
Any help would be appreciated.

Is anyone with any tip on my issue?
TL;DR
I installed the latest webman mod before updating from rebug 4.81 to evilant 4.90, yet after the update, webman mod won't launch and returns"error: the page can not be displayed (8071053d)"
So i can't load and use anything cause i duuno any other way besides Webman Mod.[emoji28] :(

@Evilnat The bug in xai_plugin does not seem to happen when the user number is higher than 16 like FFF256 reported.

The cause is that the plugin is not checking if the memory allocation requests malloc_() were successful.

In the case of the account activation, there are various large mallocs, including the dump of xregistry to memory that requests 640KB.

Try to delete your boot_plugins.txt and reinstall webMAN Mod.

@LuanTeles
Is it normal that i still have some rebug settings?o_O
Also, now, if I try to set fan speed, i get this error.
What is syscall 8?
I've seen it in the Cobra menu, and it says it's enabled.

@Evilnat if you are going to find new patches in the future

One nice patch would be to allow copy protected saves, maybe it can be patched in explorer_plugin.sprx

as you can see above, we cant copy it to another user or external drives

would be nice if we can enable it on all saves, it's a mucH needed patch

@aldostools, hey there sir!
Yesterday i was searching for same issue than me and found something equal or similar on your GitHub comments.

Looks like your last release of WebMan MOD have some kind of problem when NTFS scan is set up to run/check automatically every time console turns on and logs into User.
After some read, I was able to solve the issue by installing your last PKG in Lite mode not Full, as well, installed PrepISO 1.30.

After that i go to WebMan Web Settings and uncheck automatic startup NTFS Search or Read (something related to this function).
Now, i am fine.
I can start my console, log into my user.
For reload or update my games list, I open PrepISO and all is refreshing good.

Maybe this could help your to figure out some kind of possible bug on this last WebMan MOD working with Evilnat 4.90 CFW.

@RevPSN did you get errors when lunching webman? If yes, can you write it here or look at my previous post?
If you have a similar error, then the root cause of my issue is the same. I can't test your solution at the moment, but i would give it a go.

@MojArch Hey there, well i presume that you are talking about your issue:

And the last one before this quoted...

Well what can i say ?
Maybe you are facing some kind of issues due to update from a Rebug release to Evilnat one.
So, i must say that i did the same in past, I don't remember well but i think i get some kind of instability on system.
What i can suggest for you, is to really do a nice and fresh CFW install.
I mean do a backup of your important data like NOR and other Dumps and Save Game Data to one external HDD or USB stick, i think you should know what i mean and how to do it.
Than, start the process, verify and enable QA Flags on your running CFW, after that check the minimum version your console model support.
If 3.50 is supported or lower, good, pick from internet or maybe here on forum the OFW 3.55.
After that do the same process of Update using an Mass Storage Device, not internet mode.
I think you not need to enter in Recovery/Safe Mode to do this but get some help from YouTube on downgrade process.
After you do it, you should be now again on old 3.55 OFW, then with this clean and new fresh install with all internal disk and system formatted, get the EvilNat 4.90CFW from the beggining of this Thread.
Choose the correct one according with your model and console type.
I am using CEX (OC) and is working perfect and smooth, after a nice and good maintance of my cooler, motherboard and CPU/GPU cores.
To conclude, install only for primary experiments, WebMan MOD Latest release and if you are using one NTFS External HDD, it's better to get PrepISO 1.30 (Latest) and nothing more, go to WebMan MOD Web Setttings and look for something related with Don't check automatically files... or devices... thick what needs to be thicked or unthicked.
After that all, always you want to reload games from that NTFS HDD, just use PrepISO, let it do is black screen and after that on WebMan MOD games list will be updated.

Hope this long replay help's you.
Thanks
