Hi, i have the same problem as some users back, the psn protection seems to be a way too overprotective, even with syscalls disabled i can't access psn or store. It shows the protection alert everytime. Ps3 slim cfw 4.90.

Does anyone know if the No BD Version allows you to completely remove the Bluray drive and still allow you to load and play, (pre-ripped from disc), ISO format games?

Or does the BD still need to be physically attached?

Edit: So from some posts on here going back some years, No-BD firmwares only remove the check for the BD during FW installation and if you have a pre CECH-25xx model then you still need the BD attached (due to BD daughter board) to be able to run games from HDD etc.

Is this still the case or have things changed on these newer release firmwares like Evilnats?

No need to uninstall but you should probably update it to the latest version before updating the firmware.
It's not possible to use dynamic fan control when playing PS2 games, that's not something that can change.

You can install webMAN MOD over an existing installation and should work without issues.
If you experience issues after the update, it is recommended to uninstall webMAN MOD and do a fresh installation.

Latest CFW include the custom ps2_netemu that shows the temperature. So that file is not longer necessary unless you're on an old FW version.

Hello, just to report and leave feedback to the developer:

This new CFW 4.90 is unstable. Showing some problems. I spent almost 6 months with the 4.88 and pretty much playing only one game during that entire period (Black Ops 2) without any problems.

Today, after 1 week with CFW 4.90, I already had 4 random freezes. Three during gameplay and one on the dashboard.
I installed CFW 4.90 CEX FULL.

If you want to maintain the jailbreak, use cfw 4.90. however you ll lose it.

After the jailbreak my PS3 Remote now has a issue where after you navigate in a direction a few times it starts auto-repeating which is super annoying if I'm navigating through the XMB or using UniversalMediaServer. I'm not sure if this a bug in the CFW or if there is some CFW setting I don't know of. Anyone else experiencing this issue and do you have a fix?

I've seen this, but I thought it was because i used a PS5 DS instead of PS3 DS(around the same time that PS5 hit stores, i got it with a additional DS for my PS3)

Well, that Dualsense didn't have any issue on PS5.
So i don't know what could be wrong.
Edit: i did use my other Dualsense and the same situation.
Edit 2: I do remember seeing that only when connected DS with wire and no issue with BT connection.
