I have Evilnat 4.91 [PEX], IRISMAN 4.91 and FileZilla Client installed and I'm having the following issues:
1 - As soon as I click "Enable FTP" in "Cobra Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" with an USB device connected to my PS3, the latter freezes (I tested this in another PS3 Slim and a friend of mine also did it in his PS3 Slim and we're having this problem in them, too);
2 - The PS3 beeps thrice and restarts when exiting IRISMAN after holding the "PS" button and clicking "Yes" after uploading files from the PC to the PS3 with FileZilla Client and an USB device connected to my PS3;
3 - The PS3 often freezes when returning to XMB from IRISMAN after pressing the "Circle" button and clicking "Yes" after uploading files from the PC to the PS3 with FileZilla Client and an USB device connected to my PS3, and when clicking the PS3's "Power" button, the PS3 beeps thrice and turns off;
4 - Sometimes, the PS3 also beeps thrice and restarts after exiting a game or app using the "PS" button and clicking "Yes" with an USB device connected to my PS3;
5 - There are times when the PS3 beeps thrice and restarts in other occasions as well;
6 - Occasionally, when using FileZilla Client to upload PKG files from the PC to the PS3 while IRISMAN is running, the uploads start very slowly (like under 1 MiB/s) and take some time to reach the right speed (18/19 something MiB/s). If I close FileZilla Client before it reaches it and run it again, it reaches it right away;
7 - If I leave FileZilla Client connected to my PS3 for some time, I can't reconnect to it until I close FileZilla Client and run it again. This also happens with the PS2, PSP, PS Vita and PS TV;
8 - My PS3 keeps asking to connect the controller and press the "PS" button. I also have this issue with the stock HDD (the current HDD was bought in August 2021);
9 - After clicking "Check File system" in "Service Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools", it reaches only 47% before the PS3 restarts to XMB.
EDIT: If I close FileZilla Client after uploading files from the PC to the PS3 or if I don't connect an USB device to the PS3 before uploading them (or if I take it after uploading them), I can exit IRISMAN after holding the "PS" button and clicking "Yes" without the PS3 beeping thrice and restarting and I can return to XMB from IRISMAN after pressing the "Circle" button and clicking "Yes" without the PS3 beeping thrice and turning off.
EDIT 2: I've reinstalled Evilnat 4.89.3 [PEX], IRISMAN 4.89 and FileZilla Client, clicked the "Restore File System" and "Rebuild Database" settings in "Safe Mode" and swapped the PS3's HDD for the stock one and for a SSD I bought a week ago and I still have these issues.
EDIT 3: Thanks to the SSD, I'm now getting 21 something MiB/s instead of 18/19 something MiB/s when uploading PKG files from the PC to the PS3, at least.
EDIT 4: I have a new PC and when uploading PKG files from the PC to the PS3, I'm now getting 22 MiB/s (and even slightly more).
EDIT 5: Now, the PS3 sometimes says it cannot start and the appropriate system storage was not found. I never had this problem with both HDDs.
EDIT 6: Currently, the PS3 isn't saying it cannot start and the appropriate system storage was not found but the PS3 still asks to connect the controller via USB and press the "PS" button from time to time. I only had the former problem that day.
EDIT 7: I haven't had the latter issue.
EDIT 8: I had the latter issue again
EDIT 9: I'm not having "1" on Evilnat 4.91.2 [PEX] [BETA 4] but now FileZilla Client can't show the PS3's directories when clicking "Enable FTP" in "Cobra Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" if an external HDD is connected to the console. Also, now, after clicking "Check File System" in "Service Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools", the PS3 just restarts to the XMB.
EDIT 10: Now, after turning on the PS3, it often says the system partition of the system storage will be formatted but if I do that I'll lose all the game data, like PSN games, DLC, game saves and apps. The console even freezes when I click "Rebuild Database" or "System Update" in "Safe Mode" so unfortunately it seems I have no choice but to format the SSD. I'm tired of having problems. I might as well return to the HDD since I've been told the PS3 has problems with some SSDs (though I had a lot of them with HDDs and on different PS3s).
EDIT 11: I formatted the SSD but after clicking "Check File System" in "Service Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools", the PS3 still just restarts to the XMB.
EDIT 12: I clicked the "L1", "L2", "L3", "R1", "R2" and "R3" buttons and the "down" D-pad key on "Network Settings" on "Settings" to make "* Debug Settings" to appear (it only does if QA Flags are enabled and if they aren't, the user has to click "Enable QA Flags (Normal)"/"Enable QA Flags (Advanced)" in "QA Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools"), clicked the latter, clicked "Improper Shutdown Warning", set it to "On" and "Check File System" in "Service Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" is now working. A PSX-Place user told me to set "Improper Shutdown Warning" to "On" since he was also having this issue and that it had fixed it. I was told the "Check File System" setting in "Service Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" uses the improper shutdown warning so the setting regarding the latter must be set to "On". Now, "Check File System" in "Service Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" reaches 100% before the PS3 restarts but that might happen because I formatted the SSD. Also, now the PS3 no longer says the system partition of the system storage will be formatted.
EDIT 13: The PS3 said it cannot start and the appropriate system storage was not found again. I'll swap the SSD for the HDD I bought in August 2021.
EDIT 14: I swapped the SSD for the HDD, installed Evilnat 4.91.2 [PEX] [BETA 6] and I still have all problems except the PS3 isn't asking to connect the controller and press the "PS" button, it's not saying it cannot start and the appropriate system storage was not found, it's not saying the system partition of the system storage will be formatted, after clicking "Check File system" in "Service Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" it still reaches 100% before the PS3 restarts to XMB and FileZilla Client can now show the PS3's directories when clicking "Enable FTP" in "Cobra Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" if an external HDD is connected to the console (it can even show the external HDD's NTFS partition if used along with FileZilla Client, which IRISMAN can't).
EDIT 15: Now, FileZilla Client can't show the PS3's directories when clicking "Enable FTP" in "Cobra Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" if an external HDD is connected to the console again. It says "Connection established, waiting for welcome message ...", then "Connection timedout after 20 seconds of inactivity" and finally "Could not connect to server".
EDIT 16: Now, "Check File system" in "Service Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" is reaching only 47% again before the PS3 restarts to XMB.
EDIT 17: I installed Evilnat 4.91.2 [PEX] and IRISMAN 4.91.2 and still have said problems. I tried another external HDD with only one partition (an NTFS one) since the previous has two (one FAT32 and another NTFS) and FileZilla Client can show the PS3's directories when clicking "Enable FTP" in "Cobra Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" so maybe this issue has to do with having an external HDD with two partitions though FileZilla can't list the external HDD's partition (which is NTFS, like I said). Moreover, if I disconnect this external HDD and connect the former without restarting or turning off and on the console, FileZilla can show the PS3's directories when clicking "Enable FTP" in "Cobra Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools", but if I connect the external HDD which has two partitions, disconnect it and connect the other external HDD, FileZilla can't show the PS3's directories when clicking "Enable FTP" in "Cobra Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools".
EDIT 18: I can't decrypt encrypted PS3 ISOs in Evilnat. After uploading the encrypted PS3 ISOs and the matching key files (both have the same name) to "/dev_hdd0/PS3ISO" and clicking "Decrypt 3k3y/Redump ISOs (HDD)", a message appears saying "Could not find any encrypted ISO file". The same thing happens if clicking "Decrypt 3k3y/Redump ISOs (USB)" after copying the encrypted PS3 ISOs and the matching key files to the external HDD's NTFS partition's PS3ISO folder. I have the 80010017 error message when running encrypted PS3 ISOs.
EDIT 19: I ran PS3DEC Simple GUI, chose the encrypted PS3 ISOs with the matching dkey files (I had to download the latter since said key files had the "key" extension, not the "dkey" one), it created decrypted PS3 ISOs and after running them on the console, I was able to play the games without any error message.
I find it odd PS3DEC Simple GUI works with dkey files when the "Decrypt 3k3y/Redump ISOs (HDD)" and "Decrypt 3k3y/Redump ISOs (USB)" settings apparently work with key ones since they mention them. Anyway, if using both "Decrypt 3k3y/Redump ISOs (HDD)" and "Decrypt 3k3y/Redump ISOs (USB)" settings with dkey files instead of key ones, it still doesn't work since a message appears again saying "Could not find any encrypted ISO file".
EDIT 20: According to this, it's possible to decrypt encrypted PS3 ISOs on Evilnat and on the fly (so, the "Decrypt 3k3y/Redump ISOs (HDD)" and "Decrypt 3k3y/Redump ISOs (USB)" settings aren't required since the games work right after being ran) but webMAN MOD is needed and I don't want it. Also, key files are used instead of dkey ones.
EDIT 21: I installed Evilnat 4.91.3 [PEX] [BETA 1] which no longer has a FTP server (the developer said it was removed due to random freezes) and I still have said issues (except Cobra's FTP, obviously).
EDIT 22: After clicking "System Update", though no message appears, syscalls are restored because when trying to access the PSN I'm told I have to disable them to access it. According to wlhat I was told, the message only appears if webMAN MOD is installed.
EDIT 23: I installed Evilnat 4.92.2 [PEX] and still have said problems, not to mention when updating this version from the XMB via Internet, it detects no [D-PEX] variant, only the 4 [PEX] ones and the 4 [CEX] ones.
EDIT 24: I was told [D-PEX] isn't detected when updating this version from the XMB via Internet because my current TargetID is CEX and the only ones that can be installed with it are [PEX] and [CEX].
EDIT 25: Now, "Check File system" in "Service Tools" under "* Custom Firmware Tools" is reaching only 42% before the PS3 restarts to XMB.
