4.93 EVILNAT (Cobra 8.5)

PS3 4.93 Evilnat w/ Cobra v8.5 - (CEX/PEX/D-PEX) 4.93

hello again, I have a problem with dev_flash/blind, in the old versions of evilnat for example 4.90 it changed all the files correctly. (I just want to completely change the xmb/boot of the ps3 just like some time ago) now a file is not load more, I tried several things for example rebug toolbox or multiman or in the cobra tools folder (i.e. mounting the dev_blind)

well, I discovered that one file didn't transfer the other one, so I had to delete it, I deleted it and put that other file, and do you want to know what happened?, now I have a black screen I'm very happy, ah and anyway I also need that other file that I deleted but it seems that these 2 files hate each other, what can I do, obviously I reinstall the evilnat cfw update, but what do I do afterwards with the 2 files, can you tell me how to solve it? I reiterate that in 4.90 everything worked correctly (always on cfw evilnat)

All PS3 phat models are CFW compatible, including CECHL04.

Go to http://ps3toolset.com from the PS3 Internet Browser to patch the flash memory to allow custom firmware installation.

Once your PS3 is patched, restart and install this CFW. Follow this video for more details on the steps:

If your PS3 already has CFW 4.87 installed, you don't have to jailbreak your console again. You can install this CFW directly from XMB > Settings > System Update > Storage Media or recovery menu.

Thanks a lot aldostools.
No i haven't jailbreaked my console again, it's my first day on the sport!
I was already in the way doing so through ps3toolset.com, i was just afraid whether i could use this CFW 4.91 Evilnat Cobra (8.4) on my v4.87 console.
Thanks again!

edit:

I solved it by updating, I don't know what could have caused this error but at least everything went smoothly

It's been almost 2 weeks since the release of the CFW, but the other versions still haven't been released. No communication from Evilnat either, maybe he forgot? Oh well, it seems i'll have to stick to the old version.
For now, EvilNat is more active on his Twitter/X account. You can check his Twitter/X account in the first post.

I think I just have seen a tweet that he stated he just started developing CFW 4.91.2, but it seems he just deleted it. Anyway, I'm glad that my waiting for the final and stable version of CFW 4.91 it seems is about to end...

I have installed Evilnat 4.91 CFW,CEX,
IRISMAN v4.91 does not find the NTFS hard drive, neither webMAN nor mmOS can find it either...
Before when I had HFW with HEN installed, all three of them worked perfectly with the same hard drive?

Thank you for your responses.

A recent tweet from Evilnat states he is working on 4.91.2 addressing a few items he has listed. While I'm not entirely sure of the nature of these fixes, in terms of how they will differ with the current version, does that mean there still are issues with the current build that these fixes will help imrpove?

I'd be really grateful for your input on this!

As long as humans write software there will be bugs. That being said, I'm currently not aware of any regressions, i.e., things that used to work and 4.91 broke.
Also mind that CFW updates are not one way like OFW / HFW; if something doesn't work just enable the QA flag and downgrade back.

Any chance some can make ps3 read 10tb external hard drive as no mater what i try nothing is working. I have to stream it to ps3. Would be epic if some can include a way to read off external hard drive as web man did not see hard drive and its not just me their a lot of use who have external games that dont show up but we dont have much option but to stream the games using pc and web man. I tired ntfs and xfat no luck with it also.

There is an issue with how the ps3 reads externals. Some guy claimed he got an 8 tb to work but since it's just one post I will not redirect to that as I have not tested it myself. Most say 2 tb is the limit but you can split a 4 tb also having two partitions. If it is possible we will most likely see it mentioned by the creditable devs.i thought I saw a post where evilnat was trying to play around with this very thing, but I do not know the results

Thank you for that information. Nothing has worked and in the end i only have 2 option.
1.stream it web man using pc. tested and works fine.
2. set up psx-pi-smbshare but i have not tested this and dont know if pi 5 will work. Its something i will try at later date.
I have no idea id pi 5 is better or if pi 4 is better beat but price of pi 4 is the same as pi 5 so this something that i have no information on.
Mebe some on here could update with answer?

Ah yes, that was the tweet I was thinking about! I don't have a Twitter/X account anymore so I couldn't see that tweet again and I thought he deleted it... Thanks for sharing it! Our waiting is worthing it!

For 4.91 it doesn't matter if webMAN MOD is updated to the latest version or not. LV2 kernel is practically the same as 4.81-4.89.
So webMAN MOD already supports these offsets. Same for IRISMAN.

However I recommend to update both software.
Alright! Thank you for your reply and for the tools, Aldo! Your tool has proved to be useful, necessary and comfortable! So does it not matter, right? OK, so I'm going to update WebMan Mod (with you very lastest update) and IrisMan before updating to 4.91 CFW anyway. Could I still go ahead with no problems, right?

Have you guys tried with prepISO 1.33a (from WebMan Mod) maybe?

I'm not sure if I'll be that helpful for you, but if still doesn't read any external NTFS drives, maybe you can try using MultiMan with this video:
It worked for me, but it's not a universal solution because it doesn't work with all NTFS drives...

That's weird. The xai plugin doing that is normal as I don't think it's updated yet. I'm not sure what all you touched but if the allow is turned on it should automatically do as I said if your syscalls are disabled. It sounds like your syscalls should be disabled though since you can sign in. Try running 4.91 evilnat again. It should hopefully fix it and then you can try again. If anyone else wants to chime in on solutions feel free since the allow syscalls option should be the easiest thing to explain... Yet for some reason, here we are. Works fine for me so I dunno

Ohh ok I think I understand now. You were logged in. Under disabling and used restore syscalls while still logged in. Yes this would probably still keep you logged in. You should log out before you restore. But you think it should auto log you out and redisable using that function? I hope I understood that correctly. Your also using an SSD which isn't recommended for a ps3. It has issues
Because I didn't know there were no updates? Anyway, do updates usually add (and maybe remove) features, as well as fix them? How often are they released? Does a new Evilnat version always have a new xai_plugin version?

The time and date are right and I just clicked to update the xai_plugin, nothing more. What message should I get, then? I installed the [PEX] version and didn't change the VSH. Besides, what's that VSH? I only know the PSP's VSH menu (and saw some pictures regarding webMAN MOD's VSH menu). How can I swap my VSH?

EDIT: I changed to CEX XMB Mode (I find it odd it was in DEX XMB Mode when I'm sure I didn't click this option) and now when updating the xai_plugin it says "HTTP Status code: 404" again. You mean, the default VSH in Evilnat DEX and D-PEX, not in PEX as well?

How can I know xai_plugin's latest version? Is it indicated in some GitHub repository or in some site? Also, should I use the "Fix CBOMB" setting even if not having a dead CMOS battery?

After changing to [CEX XMB Mode], the "Debug Settings" option on XMB disappears even though I now might be able to update xai_plugin when a new version is out. Does that mean I shouldn't have changed to [CEX XMB Mode] or will I always have to toggle between [CEX XMB Mode] and [DEX XMB Mode] every time a xai_plugin update is installed?
