I was trying to record my gameplay on PS3 slim CFW Evilnat 4.91
capture card goes black, how can I turn of HDCP on my ps3?

Blu ray does not work with Pex or D-Pex.

Which BETA version are you using? Last time I checked (can't remember which BETA), both DVD and Blu-ray playback were working on PEX and D-PEX.

That should've been fixed. I even confirmed it myself. Maybe @Evilnat changed something from the version I tested to the BETA 9. Hopefully he will see this, and can investigate.

It could be the region, but I don't know. Or it's something else. I hope you can reproduce it.

Came back from a long hiatus. Updated the ps3 directly from 4,84 rebug (d-rex i think) to 4,91 evilnat d-pex… unfortunately i need the normal PEX version but it keeps giving me "update file corrupted " errors. Downgraded to 4,84 again and still gives me the errors. what am i doing wrong?

Also: i was not able to log in to psn on 4,91 d-pex. Error 80023154. Psn patch etc didn't work. Internet said to change dex/cex but that lead me to problem above. any tips?

the first post is very detailed, I believe everything is there; inside the "box" is the general details of the cfw and the bold ones are the news in Cobra 8.5 if you scrool further you will see the changelog of every beta of the CFW. I believe there isn't anything else than that.

Use PEX.
CEX does not have a single feature that PEX doesn't.

CFW Evilnat PEX / D-PEX are equivalent to Rebug REX / D-REX respectively. So everything is almost the same except that Rebug Toolbox is not longer needed since everything it does now can be done from XMB > Network > Custom Firmware Tools.

If I recall correctly, you should enter the proper NP environment in Debug Settings

Set you targetID to retail and the NP Environment to NP, idk why but the NP Environment is being set to invalid on EvilNat DEX

He may need to set it to retail and np as default
