4.93 EVILNAT (Cobra 8.5)

PS3 4.93 Evilnat w/ Cobra v8.5 - (CEX/PEX/D-PEX) 4.93

@Evilnat
Nat, I would like to suggest an improvement to the PSN blocker feature.
Currently, if the user has the auto sign-in option enabled, the PSN will still sign in even with the RCO blocker active, making the whole PSN blocker pointless. To fix this, Cobra should set the xregistry (/setting/user/$USERID$/npaccount/autoSignInEnable) to 0 if npsignin_plugin.lck exists on every boot.

Additionally, it should block the PSN servers in lv1/lv2.

@Evilnat A nice addition would be an option to reset the Account_ID in save files, for example, by setting the flag to 0000000000000000 (Not Registered in PSN).

This would allow the removal of the Account_ID from other people's saves and make save data created with the fake savedata owner option (FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF) readable again when the option is disabled

EDIT:
Well, I think that's what the Convert Save Data option already does, right? Then never mind XD

EDIT 2:
Maybe an option to remove the COPY protection?

EDIT 3:
Actually, converting the save data already in the User folder would be better. This way, one could use this option without needing to have the save files on USB, and it would allow removing the Fake Savedata Owner flag if it has already been created. (Will requiere a db rebuilt)

I see that in the first post under the tab called "Tested Models" it says "CECH-2504A".

I can confirm that Beta10 also works with "CECH-2504B".

Not at all. That's why it's tested up to 2504A. From 2504B the tool MinVerChk should be used.

I have 2504B and I can safely say that it works. Only difference between 2504A and 2504B is hard disc size. One is 160GB (A-model) and one is 320GB (B-model). For using MinVerChk is dependent on what Date Code is, not what model number is.

Can someone test the data transfer between the PSVita and the PS3? The feature was disabled in firmware 4.90, but the folder is still present in the XMB, and the content remains in the XMB when downloaded. AFAIK, trying to copy it now shows an error.
I'm away from home and would like to know if this was blocked by the PS3 firmware or by PSN (in case there's any online communication involved in the process). If it's a firmware issue, we might be able to reverse it.

Really? That's pretty messed up. I bought breath of fire 3, without realizing it was for PSP, or Vita, somewhat recently. I got a refund from Sony when I explained the situation. I bought the disc afterwards. Weird, cuz bof4 is a PS1 classic.

Is PEX better than CEX?
It's just a combination of CEX and DEX - it has the features of both, and allows you to switch between them.
If you're not a homebrew developer, there aren't too many reasons to switch to DEX mode, but since there are no features that CEX (or DEX) has and PEX doesn't then there's no downside to using PEX.

In other words yes, PEX is better than CEX because it allows you to also use DEX if / when you choose, as well as CEX, instead of having to re-install if you wanted DEX functions.

I've had two issues (one definitely a problem, the other may or may not be) running 4.91.2 BETA 10 PEX on my CECH-2002A. I moved pkg files to my internal HDD and was trying to install them using the package manager from the XMB. My issues are:

1) After installation, if I navigate to "package manager > delete package files > ps3 system storage" I can see a list of pkg files on the HDD, they each have the option to delete. If I delete one, it will remain in the list and it will still have the option to be deleted. It only disappears from the list if I navigate up one level to "delete package files" and then go back down into "ps3 system storage". Not sure if this is a bug or just a software limitation.
Note: I have never put a file on the HDD and then attempted to delete it, I have only ever deleted pkg files after installing them.

2) I installed a pkg file for a game, after installation I deleted it. I then tried to install a DLC pkg for the game. The console froze and I had to power cycle. I installed further DLC without deleting the files immediately after installation and this caused no issues. When I had two DLC left to install I tried to test the issue again: I installed a DLC then deleted the pkg, when I attempted to install the final pkg my system froze again. It seems that installing a pkg, then deleting it, then attempting to install another pkg can freeze the system.

Additional info:
My console is second hand, but to my knowledge only ran official Sony firmware before I owned it. I initially had the console on 4.91.2 BETA 9 CEX before updating it to BETA 10 PEX. I have not modified the hardware of the console in any way. I have only installed CFW, games, and ManaGunZ 1.42 (latest nightly) on my system.

Apologies if these are already known.
