I had a DEX to CEX brick, which I was able to fix with the help of the E3 Flasher and the dump.bin I got when I flashed at the BGToolsite. I patched it and flashed it. Now, the problem is, my PlayStation stays on, but the Recovery Mode doesn't work, and there is no image. However, the HDMI is working because as soon as I plug it in, the 'No Signal' message disappears on the monitor.

ist it full brick?:/
 
Hello, I had installed Evilnat back in April of this year and it was working completely fine up until the other day. I had a friend staying over for a few days due to some personnel stuff going on and while he was over I let him use my PS3. I was asleep one day and he said that he wanted to play CoD but it said he wasn't connected to PSN. He tried to log in but it told him the system needed an update so he ran the update and somewhere in the middle I guess the system restarted to apply the update but since then it's just been booting up to a screen that says; "The system software cannot be run correctly. Press the PS button to try restart the system.,
If the system cannot be restarted, you must reinstall the system software.
Connect storage media that contains update data of version 4.91 or later". I've tried downloading OFW and placing it on the flashdrive like they said but the system continues to say that no update data could be found. I've ran it in safe mode and tried updating from there but get the same issue. I've also tried every option on the safe mode menu but it just refreshes back to the same screen. Is there any fix or do I need to buy a new HDD?
 
what are the difference between all the versions of this custom and why does when i use the CFW 4.91.2 Evilnat Cobra 8.5 [D-PEX]
gives me an error ?
 
Hello if this sounds silly disregard this post, I've needed for a long time two things, a fake sign up to PSN( I think the pc emulator does it) and the ability to play PS2 online on the PS3(I have a slim,) I've come to know the PS3 is a somewhat difficult machine so idk if I'm asking much, I also don't know if others have asked this but I couldn't miss the opportunity, have a great new year!

You may be trying to install D-PEX when your PS3 is CEX, in that case you need to install PEX or CEX. Same for the other way around

If on the other hand you have OFW and your PS3 is compatible with CFW, you need to use bgtoolset first and then install CFW from Recovery

And if your PS3 is not compatible with CFW you can only use HEN

• CFW PEX (Ported DEX modules and kernel from OFW DEX 4.84, CEX Kernel as default)
• CFW D-PEX (DEX Ported DEX modules and kernel from OFW DEX 4.84, DEX Kernel as default)
• CFW CEX (Default CFW CEX without DEX modules and DEX Kernel)
• CFW DEX (Default CFW DEX with some DEX modules and DEX Kernel)

Can you update to a new version directly from the xmb like Ultimate Toolbox's Content Downloader for PS3UPDAT.PUP files? how does it know which version to install? does it autodect it from the ps3 then pull the file from a filelist url or are the dls urls hard coded into your cfw firmware itself? previously I just updated via usb.

Hallo zusammen, ich habe meine PSX3 nach 10 Jahren aus dem Keller geholt, da ich gehört habe, dass es Software mäßig Möglichkeit gibt es zu jailbreaken. Meine PSX3 ist Slim Cech-2504B mit der Original Sony Firmware 4.91. Leider hat sich die PSX3 beim Einschalten aktualisiert nach Festplatte taucht (hatte 320 GB jetzt getauscht auf 1Tb SSD). Es funktioniert alles fehlerfrei. Meine Frage jetzt, was brauche ich genau um es zu jailbreaken ?. Ein 16GB Stick habe ich schon richtig formatiert und wird auch in psx erkannt. Ich habe gelesen, dass es eine Version 4.91.2 Evilnat mit Cobr v.8.5 (CEX/DEX/PEX/D-PEX) gibt. Aber was hat das mit dem CEX/DEX und so weiter eine Bedeutung für mein System. Für eine genaue Beschreibung wäre ich sehr dankbar, welche Software ich für meinen Jailbreak benötige. LG.

Hello everyone, I got my PSX3 out of the basement after 10 years because I heard that there was some software option to jailbreak it. My PSX3 is Slim Cech-2504B with the original Sony firmware 4.91. Unfortunately, the PSX3 updated itself when it was switched on after the hard drive popped up (it had 320 GB now swapped for a 1Tb SSD). Everything works without errors. My question now, what exactly do I need to jailbreak it?. I have already formatted a 16GB stick correctly and it is also recognized in psx. I read that there is a version 4.91.2 Evilnat with Cobr v.8.5 (CEX/DEX/PEX/D-PEX). But what does the CEX/DEX and so on mean for my system. I would be very grateful for a detailed description of which software I need for my jailbreak. LG.

Does anyone has a bug on latest evilnat and latest webman mod where time and date resets to 29/12 0:00 every time you turn on the console?
Downgraded to rebug and the problem is gone.

Latest webMAN MOD has a new feature that auto-fixes the clock if the time is incorrect.

It's possible that your wm_config.bin was saved with a future date.

Try update to 1.47.47k (updated while I was writing this post). Now the clock is auto-fixed to wm_config.bin's date only if the clock's date is before 2024-12-24.

Use the online updater or go to https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases
