PS3 Advice for CFW update

Hi guys,
in 2021 i jailbroken my ps3 via ps3xploit and updated the OFW 4.87 with the CFW Cobra Ferrox 4.87 (CEX Cobra 8.2).
4 years have passed and I would like to update the CFW.
To upgrade to the CFW Evilnat 4.91.2 [BETA 15], is it enough to download the CFW and update the PS3 via USB stick ?
And which file should be downloaded, PEX or D-PEX ?
Or is it better to update to an older CFW ?

Thanks for your advice.
Tony

To upgrade from CFW to a higher version or the same FW version, install the PS3UPDAT.PUP directly from XMB or recovery menu.

The new firmware should have the same kernel type than the current. CEX = REX = PEX, DEX = D-REX = D-PEX

If you want to install an older CFW you should have enabled QA-Flags and the firmware version should be greater or equal to the minimum factory firmware version.

CFW Evilnat 4.91.2 [BETA 15] is very stable and offers great new features not found in older versions.
Some users prefer stay in Rebug 4.84.2 because its proven stability, but it lacks some important features found only in CFW Evilnat.

IMPORTANT: If you're on CFW, never install OFW or HFW. Otherwise you will have to jailbreak your PS3 again with ps3toolset.
