So I finally managed to downgrade a CECHL04 PS3 to FW 2.50, whcih was really hard to do somehow. Mainly because of the old XMB, boot/splash screens & OtherOS. Now I'm wondering if there's any way to install packages or generally Homebrews on FW 2.50 without updating? All I found so far is that the earliest CFW is 3.55 for some reason. Also, would it be possible to get PS2 emulation running on there? Because in newer CFWs, that works right after the installation so maybe there's also a Homebrew for that?
My CECHC01 is on 1.50 since I got and restored it as I only use it for PS2 games, but I never had that problem on there.
