I've got this super slim PS3 I haven't used in a while and decide to install the. So first I tried to update to 4.86, but now I'm stuck in this crazy loop. Any way to return to the previous state with fixing my faulty wifi module? I saw a post in here and there was this dude claiming he managed to exit the loop. Please, any help would b appreciated.

check the connections on the module...they may just be loose. you can also try borrowing the module from a similar model. hook it up long enough to update and then swap back.

Will do that. It is possible then?
i have not tried but i am thinking if modules is the same and the ps3 it came out of is the same firmware version you are going to end up on, then it should work. when done just put it back in other ps3.
