PS3 Anyone using ypbpr to hdmi convertor with elgato hd60s card?

I want to stream ps3 games via convertor but issue is i am not getting sound from ps3 on OBS and even not in led but when i plugged component cable direct to my led then sound is fine. If anyone own convertor and using elgato hd60s+ then plz help me. Thanks.

You need to remove all sound settings to minimun. I had this issue with the Elgato HD60+. Just tick all sounds options off manually. If you set automatic the Ps3 tries to push best sound but Elgato might not support sounds that normal tv can support for me the sounds became static electric.

I did read at reddit that someone did this and it works, he goes into hdmi settings, choose manually and turned off all the settings except for ACC and it works and i tried the same but it doesn't work.

tried everything lke you have said but still no sound and btw did you change from hdmi to analog audio in elgato app settings? i did that too but no sound,

looks like converter is faulty because no sound coming even from the PS2.

a better solution is to use a hdmi splitter that strips out hdcp
not all splitters will do this, I have a few that will do this, when got them from ebay
I would make sure the listing would show the specs of the device and would say
hdmi 1.3b and edid duration 4 seconds
they are usually a bit more expensive than regular hdmi spliters around 10-15 usd
I have used them for capturing and streaming for many years now

I forgot to mention that my ps3 hdmi is broken and that's why i only have convertor option.
