PS3HEN Anyway to stop the superslim from overheating?

I opened the console with T8 torx screwdriver and after re assembly mine keeps shutting off immediately when I see the PS3HEN logo with loud fan running.

I've never opened a superslim, but I've opened many 360s. One thing that can cause them to overheat is if the heatsinks aren't making contact with the chips. I do own a superslim that I got for free, and I've never had it overheat. I even beat several tales of games on it, so long games, and having PSN+, I have it set to send saves to cloud and sync trophies at around 8 p.m. every day. I've never changed the thermal paste.

I dont think you even need a torx AFAIK. I thought it was all Phillips screws.

Either way, I would clean cpu, rsx, and heatsinks with alcohol and qtips, then repaste the thermal paste and make sure you put in the screw that holds the heatsink to the rsx. Its a wide top screw.

Which account do you want to keep? Or would you like me to merge together?
