PS3 Apollo breaks file when copy from HDD to HDD?

Hi,

Sorry in advance if the answer somewhere on this board but I couldn't find it.

I've decided to backup some PS3 save files from HDD with 'Copy save game to HDD'. The file was successfully overwritten by copy of itself (as I understood). After this I can't locate my file in Apollo list and game can't identify it (asks to create new file). Still file is seen by PS3 system in the corrsponding folder.

Is it a bug? Is there a way to restore file?

It's a dark souls 2 save file. All files are 0 bytes so it seems Apollo purged them during overwriting.

Yeah. It looks like no copy or anything like that. But if you saying that all of these are shown as zero bytes, then you are out of luck. It seems data has been overwritten.

It seems @bucanero didn't predicted that someone would want do something like that. :D Backuping is making on another device than from source to... source. ;}

yes, if it was a save on HDD already, and did "copy to HDD", I don't know what would be the result... I can't remember if I actually checked or not... maybe it's an improvement for a new version (probably better to remove option)
