PS3 Apollo save tool (development thread)

no we can't. @bucanero already explained situation - key table is different

If we convert the rap file for hen to rif with fake act.dat and send it to exdata, the games open, but if we use this program, the games do not open PS3xploit-resigner-master gives an error

ben bu tavuk gibi kullanıyorum 4.88.1 games pop up

A friendly user at the BSD forums shared the original DW8XL decrypter tool, so I was finally able to reverse it and add the "Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends" decrypter to my toolset:
https://github.com/bucanero/ps3-save-decrypters/tree/master/dw8xl-decrypter

credits to chaoszage for the original decrypter

as usual, the custom decrypter will be included in the next Apollo release so cheats can be applied directly on the ps3.

I see that Apollo Save Tool still has not a decrypter for Payday 2. Maybe this link could be useful:

thanks for the link @aldostools !
I don't have the Payday2 game, so I was checking some PS3 save-games I downloaded. I opened the saves with Bruteforce savedata and the files don't seem encrypted at all (everything in plaintext there). Maybe that encryption is only for PC savegames?

I also checked Red-eye32's Payday 2 ps3 save editor, and there's no 2nd-layer decryption code there, just the regular pfd-tool decryption.

I'm assuming that the encryption is only for PC version? or if you have seen encrypted ps3 saves, then maybe was added to the PS3 after some game update?

In Bruteforce Savedata I included Red-eye32's Payday 2 tool, but as his source code was not public I couldn't analyze what it did in detail. As I found references about the save encryption in various sites, I thought it applied to PS3 version of Payday 2 too.

Thank you for the explanation. :sem blush:

oh no worries my friend! I wasn't sure either, at least until I de-obfuscated/decompiled the Payday 2 tool from red-eye32. Most of these tools never had any open-source release so it's hard to know what's happening unless you really spend some time.

I guess it's a lucky case that they didn't encrypt the PS3 saves. (game devs sometimes use the same encryption in different platforms PS3/Xbox/PC, and just change the key or something like that)

Thank you for the codes, but I don't use cheats nor play that game.

I only suggested it to Damian because that "decrypter" was one of the included in BSD that still was not available in Apollo Save Tool.

wepman mod setup memory 320 min How much memory do we make, does artemis work better, min 320?

That setting is the amount of memory allocated by webMAN for scanning games or listing files in the file manager. After these operations are completed, all the available memory can be used by the other processes.

@bucanero
A suggestion.
it would be interesting to add the option to delete trophies

As we don't know how to modify the ps3 internal database, deleting a trophy-set folder will end up in some broken links in the XMB.
Rebuilding the database might fix it, but it's not a real feature (you can remove a trophy folder with a file manager or ftp)

note: I think that some CFW like Rebug has the option to remove trophy-sets properly from the XMB. You need to press triangle on the trophy-set

btw, if you want to "lock" an unlocked trophy, Apollo can do it as long as you haven't sync'ed that trophy online.

Exactly the CFW REBUG REX does this.
My suggestion would be to just delete the trophy from the game.

@bucanero, Is Apollo EBOOT.BIN signed in a different way than other homebrews? I was able to launch Apollo even after remove syscalls with webMAN MOD... Other homebrews like Managunz, multiman, irisman, fm_psx throws 8001003A when I try to execute them after remove syscalls...

The error 8001003A is produced by the homebrew blocker in Cobra payload.
If the CFW syscalls are disabled, the payload prevents the load of any homebrew that don't match with NP*, BL*S, BC*S, etc.

As the title id is NP0APOLLO, the homebrew blocker thinks that it is an official game.

You can include that title id in /dev_hdd0/tmp/blacklist.cfg to prevent that it load.

If I choose 2000 mb, I cheat on artemis, the game freezes, I bought 320, now it's very good

Here's one custom checksum fixer tool that wasn't available for the PS3 :D

Tales of Zestiria:
https://github.com/bucanero/ps3-save-decrypters/tree/master/toz-checksum-fixer

There was a save editor for PC, and luckily the custom 'SHA1 cascade' checksum was actually the same between the PC save and the PS3 save. (only difference was the offset). So by comparing the PC and PS3 saves, and reversing the save editor I was able to build this ps3 checksum fixer.

Credits to Vulnavia for reversing the sha1 checksum, and sharing crypto notes about it.
