PS4 Apollo Save Tool: fresh console account needed/recommended for offline activation?

I was reading on the different methods to activate offline a PS4 account.

I initially found Charlyzard's PS4OfflineAccountActivator, but then I discovered that Apollo Save Tool also includes such function (and in a more straightforward way). And since I was planning to play around save files, I thought to only use Apollo for all my needs.

But then I remembered that the creator of PS4OfflineAccountActivator warns against offline activation on an account that already has saves and trophies in it, as the activation would probably break them.
And I saw no such warning on the Apollo page.

My question: is the offline activation option in Apollo safe to use on accounts that already have saves and trophies? Or a fresh account is needed/recommended?

Thank you for your help :)

from my test (on 6.72), I had a local user with no account, and I had some games, saves, and trophies.
I then used Apollo to fake activate that user account, and I was able to continue my games. Also local trophies were still showing up.

(Still, I don't know what would happen if I actually wanted to sync that account with the network)

anyways, that's only my test and if you are really worried about your account or trophies, then you might want to try on another dummy account first. Then see if it works as you wanted.

isn't possible to backup saves and trophies, then inject them after the activation of the account (if it has been erased)?

Thank you @bucanero for your reply.

I managed to activate my account (the main and only one), and my saves and trophies seem to be working fine - which is good news :)

The bad news is that, when copying the "jailbroken savefile" to the the retail PS4, this happens: the game tells me that the savefile is corrupted, proposes me to revert to a backup savefile (which has the same date and time of the one I copied), and then tells me again that the savefile is corrupted (creating a loop - which is ironic, considering that the game in question is Outer Wilds...).

At this point I don't know what I did wrong.
I did notice one weird thing though. After activating the JB console (with the same IDs of my retail one), I checked the savefile of my game in Apollo, and on the Details page I could see it still retained the 0000000000000000 account ID (even after I played the game a bit after the activation to "update" it). But when I copied the savefile to the USB, the folder did have the name of the correct account ID (i.e. the one of my retail PS4). Isn't this strange?

I hope you'll be able to suggest a solution :)
Thank you for your attention.
