PS3 ArtemisPS3 r5 by haxxxen - 4.81 Mamba / MambaAutoloader Support Added

An unofficial update to ArtemisPS3 for better 4.81 Custom Firmware Support & Fixes was recently released, the project originally ported to the PS3 by Dnawrkshp has seen other developer such as Aldostools and now haxxxen provide some unofficial support over the lifespan of the project that is a great Cheat System for PS# CFW user's in this update MAMBA users will be pleased to know 4.81 MAMBA (& MambaAutoloader) has been added to the system.     Changes to ArtemisPS3 r5 by haxxxen

    • Fixed constant write for pointer codes (type 6 codes). Pointer codes were only once written and you had to activate them everytime from ingame xmb with start button. now this is not needed anymore ;)
    • Fixed prx unload from gui and made proper detection for cobra and mamba.
    • Now you can unload artemis_ps3.sprx from artemis gui in main menu with square button, though you have to wait for the "press start to attach" popup. it will single beep if successfully unloaded, or double beep if not loaded at all. you will also get debug output
    • Changed the memory management comparing to his original source, which has improved stability. there are still cases, where games cannot handle artemis prx, but now it doesn't crash anymore, when you exit games.
    • Removed an unnecessary syscall (sys_ppu_process_yield). dunno if it also improves stability, but on my side everything works smooth now with artemis gui and prx
    • Added 4.81 mamba payload to artemis from mambaloader (mamba and mambaloader payload).

I've never encountered this issue. Have multiple games that use start in various ways, and pausing the game then pressing ps for in game xmb and holding start for attaching Artemis works every time.

try assassin's creed rogue if you can get it to attach pleas tell me were so I can try
 
Never play assassin's Creed but I'll test it out. I'll report tomorrow as I need to rip my disc first and it's 01:00 here. ;)

Any specific cheats you want me to activate while I'm at it?
 
I have tested now artemis plugin as a game plugin and noticed, it will run much more stable this way so I will rewrite it. for now I have noticed no memory issues

problem is, I have to choose specific button combos now, since it won't get activated from ingame xmb but from game process itself

also the vsh notification won't work so I have to use msgdialog util

a good button or combo would be R3 or L3 or both. caws most games use start or x to start or navigate around before you get in the game fully. oh and thank you I greatly appreciate it
 
I've ran ac several times now, launching a new game, pausing pressing ps and holding start to attach Artemis. No issues on my side. A wee bit of lag when returning to game, but that's it. I don't have anything to make a video, otherwise I would. Really don't know what's happening at your end.
 
Tested the plugin with various games that gave me booting into Recovery like uncharted 1 or RDR. They work now....

Gonna take the opportunity to ask if anyone have had any luck using Artemis with ni no kuni?

It seems to hang when writing.. only 1 code selected and it's max gold on gain.

Also tried the version posted above, but that just causes it to loop on write. Pops the notification endlessly and doesn't respond to anything.

are you sure you are using working codes for your game id/version? can you tell me exactly which code you are using and what your game id is and if you have updates installed?

are you sure you are using working codes for your game id/version? can you tell me exactly which code you are using and what your game id is and if you have updates installed?

My game id is: NPUB30932
I'm using only the code for max gold at gain.
No updates for this version of the game.

maybe yes, but there are some games which make trouble with game plugins, like Tomb Raider. I had to run the trailer videos to even get a plugin attached

can you send me your EBOOT and the .ncl file for this game in pm. maybe the code you are using is messed up and this behaviour you are describing I have encountered with some games using game plugins. this should not happen with a vsh plugin and I never had this problem. too bad I do not have this game, so I cannot try for myself

Should perhaps add that I went back to your original version of Artemis, found at brewology as the one posted a few posts back got stuck in notification loop.
 
I have removed now the other 2 uploads of artemis prx since there might be some other problems with them reported by @Spawn. thanks again

this should work fine now, though I had no troubles with the other one. weird button behaviours can also appear with 3rd party controllers, but this I cannot fix or I dunno how

anyways, here is the new version, which in hopes runs better for everyone. I have uploaded on my dropbox the whole pkg minus prxloader payloads, since I am too lazy to compile them right now. mamba payloads are included up to 4.82, though imo one should use cobra instead of mamba

just forgot to mention, if you are running ccapi, it is better to remove it when using artemis prx, since those do not get along very well reported on codemasters forum. guess it is because both are based on prx files

sorry and try again, cause I have changed sth and reuploaded it ;)
I have added in the popup to press SELECT for joker command to disable codes. you have to provide them yourself with codetype 5 and original EBOOT value. maybe I can get it in future to make this automatically

What's the alternative for ccapi?
