There is a color effect related with moths that cant be changed because is unknown where are sored that values, i was talking with
@Louay in some forum threads about it, he made a few experiments but no luck
The problem is (additionally to the monthy background) every month have a predefined "color filter" (i dont know the official codename, i been calling it "color filter" or things like that, but not sure)
That color filter affects several elements of the XMB... like the sidemenu (the menu at right usually opened when pressing triangle), also all the icons itself "inherits" that color
And i wonder if it affects the wave too <--- this is very important to know for what you need to achieve
@sandungas..can you analyze these png logos to see which one is best to add to a gameboot? .. is that i'm just wanting to replace the gameboot image with the spiderman logo for the logo (Ps) white ... and also transform them into gim format .. then tried but could not ... I want to add this logo on the rco with gameboot that you did..because already has the perfect animation for what I want to do.
Is not just a matter of replacing the image, inside the rcoxml there are some values that indicates his position and size
The original images are a long horizontal rectangle, and the image you want is a big square
If you replace the image but dont replace the position and size values the XMB is going to stretch it to fill the area where it was displayed the original. In other words, your image will be very deformed and ugly
*Also, we dont have full freedom to choose fully custom values for sizes or positions... there is a list with 5000 values or so (the XMB layout TXT files i was talking about some posts back in this thread), we are free to load any of that values, in this case this restriction doesnt affects much though... to create a square is needed to find a value (something around 500) and load it for sizeX and sizeY, that would display it as an square... also is needed to create an squared image of the logo at that same exact size
Off topic: But what were Sony thinking using "Original" and "Classic" as names for the 2 modes, like WTF, they both mean the same thing!
Agree, i know about that names years ago, but it looks like my brain cant store that info, lol... and im proud of it, it looks my "brain manteinance system" is working fine and doesnt stores crap, lol
Are some of the worst names, not intuitive at all, maybe in japanese have different names and makes more sense but for other languages it doesnt
*In japanese there is a font style named "gothic" (not sure if is the "pop" style or one the others)... again i cant imagine wtf hey was thinking when they decided to call that font "gothic"
