Best Phat PS3 Fan?

Is there any conclusive, scientific evidence as to which fan is the best for the CECHA01/B01? Some say 19 blade 2.9A NMB fan, others say nidec 1.75A 15 blade fan. Does anybody have empirical evidence to support either claim?

I dont think, to have a scientific proof it would be needed to attach something to meassure the volume of air moved by it, also the noise level, and power consumption

In this case we dont care about power comsumption though... the only things that matter is the volume of air moved, and the noise

Won't a lower blade count fan with speed set to high (like 40%) work, if I don't want to replace to a higher blade count fan

I ahe tried both fans and literally not even 1 degree in temp variations. You just need a working fan. Besides that has never been the issue with these models.

The tricky detail is the motor they have at the center is different, in specs but also in size
The motor itself is an obstruction to the airflow... lets say... if the external diameter is 14cm, but the motor have a diameter of 4cm then the "open area" that allows the air to pass through it is like a ring of 10cm width
That calculation is different in some of the 14cm fans because the motors have different diameters
The fans with 19 blades have a bigger size motor (so that ring i mentioned of the "open area" is smaller)

Is very hard to know which fan is better because is not intuitive at all, but all them are fine, lets say... sony asked another manufactures to design a fan for the PS3 and told them the requirements, then sony verifyed the fans was passing that requirements and used them for PS3 mass production
So is not a design problem, all them have an aceptable quality

Also, the speed could be confusing too, it could happen that a fan spinning at 33% makes less noise than other fan spinning at 30%... just because the design of the blade edges that generates a noise when they "cuts" the air, or because the bearings are different, etc...
