PS3 Black screen for BC PS3 after loading PS2 iso

Hi all, I have 2 B.C PS3. 1 is running ferrox 4.87.

1 is running REBUG 4.84.2. I tried to play ps2 iso on both, but both resulted in black screen. I am still able to press/hold PS button on my controller to quit game, but display is black and no sound.

Trial 1
1. I put the ps2 iso into hdd0/ps2iso.
2. Loaded the iso through webman
3. Selected the "ps2 format game"
4. Black screen appear.

Trial 2
1. Put PS2 game in .Bin format
2. Loaded the iso through webman
3. Selected the "ps2 format game"
4. Black screen appear.

I dunno what I have done wrong, so would like to ask for some advice here. Thanks in advance.
 
FYI, Ferrox 4.87 has known issues with PS2 games, so you need to switch to Evilnat 4.87, or downgrade to a Rebug.

do you have any other ps2 game to try? try dumping the disc again, or another ps2 game just to be sure.
 
yes ps2 is broken in ferrox 4.87 (also 4.86 i think).

i use iso for ps2. AFAIK it should work with all games.

What is the model of the console?
I had this happening with my CECHC04 and managed to fix it in the REBUG toolbox - I am on REBUG 4.81.

Hi, thanks for checking. I am on CECHA06. I just tried 4.87.2 evilnat. When I try to load the ps2 iso in webman. It hanged. Didn't even go into the black screen. Thanks.

check if you can play any ps2 game using the disc. if it works, then try ripping iso using ImgBurn. also remember, any ps2 game mounted from usb must be copied to hard drive first (webman will do it if you do not).

tried street figther EX plus and god of war 2.. Able to work on PCSX2, not working on PS3.

Use the Toggle Netemu in the REBUG Toolbox:

Having said that the CECHA06 with upgraded 1tb hdd works. The one with the original 60gb hdd still shows black screen after doing all the changes:
1) delete all files is Ps2Iso
2) loaded 4.84.2 debug
3) loaded 4.87.2 evilnat

Dump your game from disc again as @Coro wrote.
