Black screen freeze on HEN w/o BD

I've got super slim and have successfully installed HEN and I can enable it with no problems. However bluray drive stopped working recently (and that's the reason why I did jailbreak, in hope to use it without BD). So even with HEN enabled I can't run any homebrew. They do install, but after running them I've got black screen, just as before jailbreak with regular apps. Is there something similar to noBD CFW or any other fix? As I understand HEN is my only option with super slim ps?

SuperSlims won't/ shouldn't blackscreen with a busted BD .... you can remove the drive and they will still run apps, games. What wewre you tying to run? and did you make sure to install any HEN versions of them if there is any and for ones that don't did you resign the ebbot to 3.55 its it needed to be.

Also you cannot use No BD on HEN as it needs 4 Lv1 patches which HEN has no access to and most likely never will.

Thx for reply. If its not BD what is causing black screen? On original software running enything would cause freeze, like netflix or ps store and the BD didnt spin. Now its the same with any homebrew software. Im new in here so I just followed the quide from this subforum and thats all i've tried. But if you are saying its not caused by faulty BD how to find real cause of this?

Not quite sure, I have 2 SuperSlim PS3's, CECH4003A + DECH4000A, and both will run fine if I remove the BD drive completely whereas if I removed the BD drive from my 2 Slim with them both being CECH2003A's or they where faulty they would need a NoBD CFW.
