Howdy everyone, first post here.
I'm just going to get straight to the issue because it's been really annoying, and it's been going on for quite a few months now.
I have a Super Slim PS3 with the latest HFW and HEN installed, as well as the latest webMAN-MOD release. My issue is that whenever I let webMAN load when enabling HEN, I get a black screen if I try to enter mounted games, installed games (both unofficial and from PSN), or homebrew apps like multiman, apollo, or retroarch. I also notice that the hard drive activity light turns off after the black screen appears, forcing me to do a hard reset on the console.
I can bypass this problem by holding down R2 during the HEN startup. However, this is frustrating because the timing for the button press is inconsistent, and sometimes webMAN loads anyway. The only exception to this black screen issue is when I mount Sonic Mania from webMAN—it works without any problems, though I'm not sure why that specific game works.
Another important detail is that ever since this issue started, whenever webMAN is loaded, I no longer see the usual syscall and CFW history screen when trying to log in to PSN, even though I never disabled that function, and it still shows as enabled in the config.
I'm considering uninstalling webMAN, but given all the useful features like fan settings, temperature monitoring, FPS display, gameboots, easier mounting compared to multiman, and other features I might need in the future, it seems silly to stop using it altogether.
I always keep everything updated, mostly to take advantage of new features. I doubt the new versions are the issue since this problem started with the previous versions of HFW, HEN, and webMAN. Maybe I accidentally changed a setting without realizing it. I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I use my console on a CRT.
