PS2 Black Screen on PS2 OPL (only in certain games like GoW 2)

I'm new on this OPL thing and playing PS2 games through OPL, and all the games run perfectly except for God of War 2. It ALWAYS gets stuck on a black screen right after the initial cutscene, just before the gameplay starts—basically at the very beginning.

OPL version / revision
OPL v1.2.0-Beta-2065-c0da23

I've tried:
Others .ISO
Changing the game modes in OPL to 1, 2, and 6.
Switching the PS2 system language.
Unfortunately, nothing has worked so far. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or how to fix it?

God of war 2 is a double layer dvd. some pirated patched versions have cutted out some cutscenes/movies, try pressing buttons on controller sometimes it let you further. GT4 was the same thing. GoW2 However works perfectly for me but i have iso created from my own legit disk. so i dont have that problem.

If you are new to things like OPL you should try stable builds rather than betas...

For most users OPL v1.0.0 will be ideal (look for OPNPS2LD-v1.0.0.7z):
