So here's the problem......
(1) when I load PS2 games the CECHC03 Backwards compatible PS3 (with DS chip) the console will recognise the disc. When I launch the game it goes to black screen. This was on OFW so I updated to CFW
(2) I installed Evilnat 4.90 along with webman and multiman, problem still persisted. I created an ISO in multiman and launched the game, same problem so I now know its not the BD drive. When I enabled ps2_netemu the PS2 ISO will load using g soft emulation.
(3) when I try to launch a PS2 disc I can hear the noise that comes with the PS2 logo but I can't see it. If I go to the settings tab and into games settings, I have fou d that if I turn off all options when I load the PS2 game I can access the menu by pressing the PS3 home button. This allows me to quit game, assign slots and various other settings. This can not be accessed if I enable PS2 upscaler.
(4) The console did have an overheating CPU and the Syscon error log shows 1001 error for the last 30 errors. I have de-lidded the CPU and RSX and I run the console at 32 percent fan speed. This has fixed the overheating CPU error but the problem remains. I have added one 470uf Phillips tantalum capacitor to the RSX tokins but no change.
