PS4 Block game updates

I'm new to the ps4. I've got an 11.00 with Hen.
How can I stop games from updating?
In system settings - automatic downloads are all set to off.
2 of my games after you start them, they begin downloading an update - the update breaks the game. So how can I stop this?

what do you mean? the only ones to be worried about are official game updates. if you're using fpkg, the game update won't install, since there will be a checksum mismatch (the reason for marrying games and updates).

Of 10 games, just Wolfenstein Collosus and XIII have done this. Idk man the update for those 2 starts downloading and then installs when I launch the game, breaking it from starting next time.

Hmm, I thought it would error at the end of installing like a normal pkg update over an fpkg. If it's an official, base game, then I could see that happening. You could disable the Internet. Other than that, I'm not sure. You can block Sony with most routers or a proxy though, which is what I used to do. My router at the time couldn't block URLs, so I used ccproxy. Only problem is that your computer must be on and ccproxy open to use the Internet on the PS4.

Im gona test if the al-azif dns helps today. I host a local pihole dns server, if I took the time I could probably learn how to block ps4 servers on that. I could atleast look into it. I added this blacklist too

And ya stay offline would be most effective. Hopefully I can just stop these updates cus I like ftp'ing my files. And btw they're all fpkg's
