Hey guys!
My friend bought a PS5 and gave me his PS4 with a physical and digital library too. So I'm a new owner of a PS4 Fat, unfortunately it is in 10.71 firmware so I can't jailbreak it.
Is there a way to create a local account and link it to my own psn account without updating my firmware? Or maybe just to download some games from his library?
It would be cool if we could block that with firewall, proxy like we could in PS3.

I read that it's possible to play PS2 games through USB using an exploit, is it fake?
I ask this because how it's possible to play PS2 games and not jailbreak/hen it?

I found it here:

Thanks in advance!

There's an exploit for ps2 games, but a few things. It's userland only, you need a ps2 game from psn, and you need an exploited system iirc, because you can't inject the save otherwise.

When using a under-updated PS4,you have to take into account the following stuff:
- You can't access PSN,PS Store or anything related to Sony as they forcibly require you to update it to access it,so any bought digital games at the libraby that weren't installed in the console's HDD or SSD are not downloadable anymore.
- You can still use Physical Media and thankfully you can update the games as well since game updates aren't fully integrated with having PSN just like in the PS3

I did a little more investigating. You don't need hen. You just need to inject a game save through normal means. I've built this before, and it's based on python. The problem is You need the specific game it mentions, which you need psn for. I own the game, just for this, but I've never tried it. There were reports about trophy glitches, so that could be a major red flag for your account if you could sign in. That's the reason I didn't try it with my main account. I think the save acts as an elf loader. It says the iso is copied to internal storage, and must be copied every time, because it's deleted automatically when exiting. If you have the okage game, I'd say go ahead if you're waiting for a jb. There's almost 0 chance that an exploit for the latest will ever be released, while it's the latest, which I agree should be the way it is.
