PS3HEN Boot_login.txt, Package Manager and Hybrid Firmware Tools Issue

Hello All,

Please help, I have a number of problems. (Please bear in mind that I am a beginner).

1. For some reason, when I boot up my PS3 Super Slim and Enable Hen, I cannot see the package manager and the Hybrid Firmware Tools option. The only way I can get these to appear is doing the autoinstall of Hen again.

When I do this I get a message saying "Boot Plugins Text Have Been Deleted! If you have plugins, these files need updated". I'm guessing this is the cause of the problem.

2. On another note. I have Irisman installed. Whenever I have a NTFS MBR usb hardrive plugged in (512gb), the application doesn't boot up and freezes on a black screen. Only when I plug in a small NTFS USB (32gb) does it work. I have tried a few difference storage devices with the same results.

Any help with these few things would be appreciated.

1. This thing happen also to me many times, have you tried to activate hen again through the button? I try at least 2/3 times and after that it will be enabled. (To be sure that it is enabled you should see a message in the upper right corner of your tv telling you that Hen 3.2.2 is enabled and the latest hen version avilaible)
2. That message is a new feature introduced because if you have installed a previous version of webman mod while upgrading hen, it will freeze your console; that message appears because it will delete any boot_plugins.txt file after upgrading hen to avoid issues. After that you need to reistall latest webman version.
3. For irisman, try to reinstall the app and be sure to return always to the root of your file manager before exiting from irisman maybe that's why is been freezing. Since last update to 4.90 irisman is giving issue also on my superslim more than before

1) Yes, I have tried many time and always the same result.

2) So how I can fix this? Do I need to reinstall Webman and then uninstall it? I tried to do this by installing the package. However when pressing "L1 and installing the full version", once the PS3 is restarted nothing relating to webman is there. I don't actually want Webman and maybe all this mess occured when I tried to uninstall it when I originally installed.

1. Try reistall HFW 4.90 2 times at least (if you have superslim try from recovery mode), then reistall hen.
2. If you don't need webman you don't have to install it again, actually the webman folder appers after activating hen, so probably that's why you can't see it after installing Webman. I think that you don't mess up with it but it's only related to the fact that you can't enable hen correctly.

1. It seems I am unable to do this because when I go to do an FW with HFW 4.90 is says no FW Update Applicaable. It is the same file as I used when originally doing it.

2. I'm not sure if this is why WebMan is not showing up, because HEN is currently enabled (after doing AUTOHen) and I can only see the installer for WebMan.

Your help is really appreciated.

1. Have you tried on recovery mode?
If you can't reinstall hfw i think the only way to activate hen is trought the installer/enabler.
2. If you have reinstalled hen with Auto Hen webman will not be there anymore and you need to reinstall it with the installer. After rebooting and reactivating hen, webman folder will show up.

Thank you. I got it all working.

However, Enable PS3 Hen doesn't work consistently. It does nothing. Sometimes I have to try a few times, or restart the PS3. Is there any way to make things more consistent?

how did you fix it exactly? When i enable hen , it seems to work as i can access homebrew apps and games but my package manager is gone
