I did some reading, but could not find exact answers to my 2 questions before proceeding to buying a console that will be used exclusively for offline play and hence will be jailbroken.
I found a CECH2504A with datecode 0C and current FW version 4.60. So far I have read that this fits my needs.
As far as I read this is reversible and can be downgraded. With the new HFW released recently will I need a hardware flasher too or the HFW can be used to install CFW without downgrading the console?
Also, if the answer to the above question is yes, can somebody point me to the guide I need to follow. I know such exists (there are tons of tutorials here, well done folks), but I kinda get lost within all of them.
This is my first time buying a PS3 so all other recommendations and tips would be welcome. (Used to play only PS4 by now).
