PS3 Call of duty MW3 gives me black screen after a multiplayer match is over

How can I fix this? Playing on CFW 4.82.2 Rebug. Also, another problem: When I choose to play on the DLC maps online, the game freezes when it start to load the map. Any help is very much appreciated!

This is one of the worst CODs for black screen glitches on CFW. How are you playing it? ISO format? Folder format or from the disc. It used to drive me up the wall.

Have you patched the game to 4.20 using PSN Patch or another app that does this?

If patching to 4.20 using PSN Patch doesn't do the trick then. Use a backup manager to convert the game to ISO. Should run fine after that.

EDIT: Also I have found that installing every update for the game is a good thing as well. If you use ManaGunZ Backup Manager to download the updates they should be patched to 4.20 updates if they are available.

They will appear in " Package Manager " section on the XMB under " System Storage ". Install them from lowest to highest in ascending order.

Never tried that, should do. I have all my games in folder format, which isn't the best for compatibility, black screens on a lot of them. Most of the time patching to 4.20 sorts this. But MW3 is the biggest pain of all the cods.

I would just convert it to ISO first without patching it and see if the issue still persists.

If it does there are other ways to sort this out but they can be a pain as they involve deleting everything in the games folder and starting from scratch with the game data, leaving just the unpatched disc in folder format in GAME, then reinstalling the dlc, then downloading all the 4.20 patched updates with Managunz, patching the game disc, then installing all the updates one after the other in order.

Even patching to 4.20 gets past the black screen on boot, but still can black screen after a match, it did this to me multiple times after spec ops online.

As for the crashing on maps its like the data is corrupt for that map. BO2 kept doing this to me on Carrier and Nuketown. It turned out that the update containing Nuketown 2025 was corrupted and the so was the update patch for Carrier. So these maps refused to boot on MP and crashed the PS3. Now I check the MD5 with Managunz all the time or on the PC with Aldo's tools to make sure.
 
strange I've been playing it fine since i copied it from disc in like 2012, all i did was install a debug eboot, I'm currently running it on 4.84 rebug drex, the only game ive ever had issues running is black ops 1 personally

What does that eboot do ?
