PS3 Can you only use a e3 flasher for one console?

no, there's an update flie for the flasher that makes it so you can use it on multiple consoles, iirc it's called samsung update
 
There is a specific firmware as kadorna2 has stated that allows for multiple flashing. Otherwise it's supposed to be limited to one console. I also believe he is correct in it being the samsung update. It's not the newest, or the fastest, but its the only one that works with multi consoles.
 
If you have bought a knock off "fake" e3 some of them do not allow a second update, if is already flashed with single console version then is stuck, if is already flashed with multiple console update then you are ok.
So keep in mind that if you are trying to update e3 with mupltiple console version update it may continuously fail if is fake version e3 flasher.
 
Where should I buy a e3 flasher at then so I know I dont get a fake one

Just google amazon so it brings up the right Amazon site for the country where you live, then in the amazon search bar enter "E3 Hardware Flasher" and it will bring up all the seller's on there that sell them and is available to buy where you live.

Ok so anyone of them from amazon should work and I should be able to install the update to use on multiple consoles

Read what been put about the product but some of them are sold directly from Amazon,

I normally go for the one marked Amazons choice which is sold directly by amazon, not the 3rd party so if you have issue's is easier to deal with.

EDIT> I have had no problems installing the update on the one I have, I am about to order another one for a hardware mod of one of my PS3's for a permanent install of one it.

Different seller's to the UK site, when looking on my side the seller I got my last one from is out of stock and the amazon choice one has changed, look a TooGoo one> this is listed on mine as choice but 2 reviews say it fake but 2 say its good....WTF?? now this is confusing when people say this but is it more a case of the to that said fake really had no clue as to what they were doing.

Might need more searching to find a new seller of them, you could try searching eBay as well. Though i have not bought one off there before but other people have.

No need to downgrade, even if your PS3 is on 4.84 OFW as PS3 Dump Checker has a NoFSM patch to allow for direct CFW install after flashing the patched dump to the PS3.

I can link you to a very good step by step you tube video that is very easy the follow, every step is explained clearly and even explains some other vital details such as thing not to do. the vid is for 4.83 but the steps are exactly the same.

Even show's you how to take apart your PS3. To do this you need a special anti tamper torx screwdriver, this can be easily googled and they are very cheap to buy.
