PS3 !! canNOT install pkg on HFW 4.87

hi all. my ps3 is CECH-2000A, just installed HFW 4.87, then found that there's no package manager or package installer, so I can't install pkg...
before, my system was cobra 7.30. I wanted to install the latest HEN, then I found this:

it says the latest HEN only support HFW, so I installed the latest HFW 4.87. then how do I install pkg??
my PS3 has NO internet, so yet I can't install HEN as well...

also, among these HFW: 4.87, 4.86, 4.85, 4.84, any which I can just install pkg without HEN?
 
Have you installed HEN, not HFW?
According by your ps3 model, you can install full CFW, see video .
Or if you want HFW only see this video, and you must have internet to exploit/activate HEN (or flash prepared image to flash memory to allow CFW installation), there is "*HEN Enabler" in Game category.

Or if you want to exploit it over LAN, download file in attachment, unzip, and run miniweb.exe, the app shows you your IP and port.

before, my system was cobra, I think it was CFW. so when I was using cobra, I installed some pkg, cannot open, had to activate rap file. then I saw online an easier way to do that using HEN, and to get latest HEN, I had to go HFW, that's why now I do HFW...
question is if I make it CFW, can it run HEN?

cfw does not need hen. newest 4.87 Evilnat cfw has rap activation added to cobra (same way hen works). rebug 4.86 lite also does it this way. use my bgtoolset guide to rejailbreak and get cfw back. or watch MrMarios jailbreak video on youtube.

Hi~ I didn't rejailbreak my PS3, I'm still on HFW 4.87, I successfully installed HEN, but every single time I enable HEN, it freezes, or say crashes... what should I do? Thank you

make sure you are installing only from the official site **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new)

sometimes toolbox, mods, or other pkgs will change the enabler icon to an older version. wait untill HEN is working, then install any add-ons and test them one at a time.

to find out if your enabler icon is broken: start your ps3 but do not enable hen. open browser and goto this page https://ps3addict.github.io/enablehen/flash.html if it works, hen is installed but enabler is broken.

you can also use the official installer as an enabler (if you can load it). http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new)/hen/installer/index.html

I tried this way as well already, still crashes as always... I see that there are some people online with same problem, but no luck getting any solution...
Also, I checked the system file md5, HFW 4.87 , then installed it all over again, then installed HEN again "successfully", then crashes as always...

i can only recommend that you try to jailbreak and install CFW (if you can with your internet).

i have seen a few users who couldn't enable this way, but the webpages always worked for them.

Thx. I finally got hen working. I have some ps3 demos, with pkg and rap together, demos are always free and legal. but after installing, every time I run it and it gets "this content can be used if you renew the license in playstation store"... I already got the rap files in folder "exdata" in usb root, when I installed it... how can I run the demo...?
For example, this Bleach demo, NPJA 90172, I have rap as well, just how to activate it the easy way? ;-)

free demos do not come with free raps. demos will play for free for a time period and then stop.

Oh, I have a lot of demos with rap, if they stopped someday before, now, is there anyway anyhow to run it? Like with CFW or whatever way...? Really...

the only way is to remove the rap requirement, which is possible, at least with cfw. you need the rap to do it, but you'd be doing it on the pc. can't really explain how to do it, because that information falls under piracy, which we can't talk about on this site. if it were me, I'd be more interested in why the rap isn't working. I've never used hen, but afaik, it should be as simple as putting the rap in the exdata folder on hdd or usb root, then booting the game. the only way it could fail is if the key is wrong or the content id is wrong (the rap name).
