Castlevania LoI -- Jitter on one PS3, perfect on other, why?

I have two PS3s... I have both on Rebug 4.82, cobra / cobra PS2 emulation. I have the same Castlevania LoI ISO in the HDD0 PS2iso folder. On one, the intro, and in-game intro for a "new game" plays with no stutter or any small freezes. On the other, In intro, new game anim, I get the stutter/small freezes, only occasionally, about every 10-20 seconds. I find this very weird. Any ideas? I'll include more info below.

------------------
The one stuttering I'll call (B). The good one, (A). So, I had (B) on latest 4.84 Rebug with latest WebmanMod. I thought maybe this new version was the problem so I installed Rebug 4.82 and webmanmod 1.47.09 which was what (A) was using. No change at all. I do have a "after market" 512gig drive in (B), but it's a good name brand drive... would be amazed if this is the problem.

The stuttering isn't really that big of a deal, and it's only on "in-game engine rendered cutscenes w/ audio from ISO", and the main into after you load up, but, it's driving me crazy that it works perfectly on the other ps3! FYI, in normal gameplay, while music is playing there is NO stutter.

EDIT: I just noticed I have the OLD (obsolete?) PS2 Classics Placeholder on (B). I just tried loading the game through the placeholder -- same result. Maybe having it installed is affecting the Cobra ps2 launcher?

My first guess is it has to do with your PS3's models. My old phats behave slightly different than my slim when it comes to emulation.

Both are Slims... (A) Working is a 2501A (B) jitter is a 2001A.
Yes, I suppose this is possible, But as far as I know, all the slims are the same regarding processing power.

It's probably down to the hdd. Either its got an issue Or maybe the ps3 does not like it for some reason. If you can try swapping one hdd to the other and see if the problem moves too.

Note that you can have 2 hdds paired to one console at the same time, but Whichever hdd you swap will need to be formatted to work.

Hmm.. I agree this is worth testing. Is there a way I can 100% clone the entire drive to another 512g drive? Using some software on the PC? I have been wondering if I could use an SSD instead of a hard drive? I might grab a 512g SSD if it will work out?

And, you are saying I could take off the old drive -- try out a new drive (formatted to blank for instance)... Then if it still stutters, I could just put the old drive back in with no changes?

You can do a byte for byte clone to a drive of the same size with various different software and it will work ok.

You wont really see the speed benefits, and the ps3 does not really support some function needed to maintain an SSD called TRIM. So its not recommended to use a SSD. You use a SSHD or 7200rpm drive for a bit of a speed boost.

Correct. When you put in the new blank drive, it will ask you to install FW, just make sure to install the exact FW that is already installed on the current drive.
